So many gaps in our black out curtains or blinds means when its summer its never totally dark n at night there is some street light coming thru
Did a fully pitch black room help you or your kids with sleep?

It’s never made any difference to my child’s sleep either way. In the summer we sleep with the curtains open because the view is so pretty that it’s lovely to wake up to. My daughter sleeps 7-7.

I nail the curtain around the window. You can use tacks or staples too. My kid wont have a sleep schedule so the back room is a warm room, open to the elements but blacked out. It all depends on the curtain material when you buy them they have ratings, a lot of ppl don’t have total black out curtains. And again tacking down the curtain flesh with the wall helps keep any light from coming around the sides as out windows are open in the dark room 24/7

Never made any difference. I also co sleep and don’t like a completely black room. I find it disorientating when I can’t see a single thing / object.
