Baby monitor recommendations please?

Hi all. I wondered if anyone has any recommendations for a baby monitor?
Baby isn't due for a couple of months, just trying to get prepared.
They will be in with us at first of course, but I'm guessing there will be times when they're down before us so I'm thinking I'll need one right away? Please let me know if I'm wrong there and I'll hold off buying?!
We want one with a camera ideally. Not too worried about whether they have a movement sensor or not as I've heard they have a lot of false alarms?
Appreciate any recommendations or guidance though please!

We use the owlet which is the sock and monitor, my parents have a nooie one. We also have nooie cameras up in different rooms in the house xx

We use the momcozy one, the screen is nice and big! It can also split screen so if you wanted multiple cameras or have another baby you don’t need to have 2 monitors. Doesn’t have movement sensors.
Tells you when the rooms too hot which is nice. Also plays songs which we use if we need to wake baby after a nap or in the morning (he’s 13 months)

I love our vtech, it’s not on wifi, has a camera, only need to charge it overnight

I also have the vtech, it has heat detection, 2 way talking, plays music and white noise, you can add extra cameras for multiple rooms and most importantly for me is its not on WiFi. My friend has a WiFi camera and it was hacked.

Love our v tech. Highly recommend.

You've said about potentially needing one straight away but baby should be in the same room as you for ALL sleep until 6 months.

Early days they usually go to bed a lot later/same time as you anyway or you start their sleep downstairs with you and only take them up once you are going up

I have a cheap one from Amazon. It's great but at 10 months I'm now looking for a sensor one as he doesn't cry but he moves around loads and sits up etc so I want one to tell me he's moving

Should I be as concerned as I am?

My daughter has her 1 yr doctor's appointment on the 11th and I wanna ask her pediatrician about it but she's entering the toddler stage so I'm not sure if it's normal. But we've caught her bitting her hands and arms when she's upset. She also pinches others including herself. Is this normal behavior for a toddler? Two of my brothers have autism and this was a huge sign for them as they reached elementary school so I'm not sure if it's the same thing. Eventually I also want to get her tested for ADHD (my brothers also have this and so does her dad - no longer in the picture btw) her father also has schizophrenia which I didn't find out until recently. What is the appropriate age to get her tested? I'm a ftm so idk what to do or think. On top of this I want to get her legs checked out because of the way they are when she's walking. Will they straighten out on their own? Is this normal for babies? Is this something worth asking her pediatrician about? Pram recommendations?

I’m starting to look at travel systems and really love the Silver Cross ones, but they’re so expensive. I’m happy to invest in a good pram if it’s worth it, but I’ve seen a lot of people say they can be quite heavy and that they ended up switching to a cheaper lightweight buggy later on.

Can anyone recommend a pram that’s great from newborn onwards? Thank you in advance ☺️

HV due when I need to put toddler to bed.

Shall I leave a note on the door? Try and hold toddlers nap out? The HV appointment is for my new baby due in 2 months and not my toddler.

I am having the home appointment alone as my partner is working away.

My son won’t walk with me.

He is 2.5 years and I have to carry him everywhere to get anywhere since he doesn’t listen. If I put him on the ground and hold his hand he will either squirm out of it and run or throw himself on the ground and go limp. He doesn’t come or stay close when I call. He immediately bolts and expects me to follow him. I don’t believe in hitting or yelling. I do stern talk for danger and tried giving him one of two options. None of the other kids his age are this way. They listen to their parents and stay close. What do I do?

Breastfeeding toddler

I'm still breastfeeding my son who will be two in a few months.

It still feels completely natural and is mainly a way that he settles himself but I am thinking of gently weaning at some point soon.

I am more aware of other people's opinions about it now he's a bit older, despite this being completely normal in a lot of places and the World Health Organization still recommending brrastfeeding up to two years of age or beyond.
