Sorry to fill the feed with more sleep questions 😅😅 the 4 month sleep regression is killllling me.
1)Do you have strict nap times for your babies during the day?
2)Are you putting your babies down to sleep at bedtime awake or asleep?
3)How long are your babies daytime naps?
4)Do you wake your babies up in the morning or just let them decide when they wake up?
Would appreciate all the wisdom, my daughter has gone from sleeping through to being a terrible daytime napper and even worse sleeper at night. It’s a military operation getting her to sleep.
I’m a third time mum but with a significant age gap, don’t have any ‘mum friends’ with babies this age so finding it difficult to compare what’s normal and what’s not this time round!

I have a 18 month old however at around 4 months old I was still putting her down asleep we didn’t really have strict nap time just monitored wake window it hopes she wouldn’t be over or under tired
She was having an hour long morning nap
Around 1.5h afternoon
Then 1hour nap later in the afternoon roughly
Sometimes a little cat nap on me while I was watching tv in the evening before we went to bed
Never ever woke her up just let her sleep when she wanted and she would sleep 12 hours a night up until 8months old
I think she started having more strict nap times around 6 months but still would depend of when she woke up that morning and so on

We use the little ones app and started to as soon as my little girl hit 4 months and felt she was starting a regression. It gives a schedule based on recommended nap lengths and wake windows, but I don’t follow it religiously in terms of timings.
So for 1. - we don’t have strict times, I work off nap lengths and wake windows. I.e I know my little girl probably needs one decent nap that’s around 2 hours then 2 45 min naps roughly. If she has a short nap though below 45 mins her wake window will shorten to about 1hr30.
2. She goes to sleep awake now but her routine is consistent and again I follow her wake windows and find as long as she’s not overtired she’ll self settle.
3. Most of the week she’ll wake 6:30-7ish but if she has a later night if she’s napped later I’ll wake her at 7 regardless. Feel free to message! Xx

The 4 month sleep regression is mind boggling!
We dont have strict nap times, we get him to sleep when he shows signs of being tired, but he fights it a lot.
We put him down asleep, he will kick off of he's awake and right now sleep is a rare thing! He sleeps fairly well this way at the moment. I've now probably just jinxed it.
Daytime naps (if they exist at all!) Are 10 mins if put down up go 3 hours if held 🥲🥲🥲 there have been days that he goes 7 hours without a nap. Send help!
We dont wake baby up at the minute as hes so lacking in sleep, he's always awake by half 6 though.
Were lucky in that he still sleeps all the way through, with only sometimes needing his dummy. But daytimes are a nightmare.
What routine have you already established for bedtime?
I also have a huge gap between my kids. 12 and 4 months about to turn 5 months, also with none of my existing friend groups having babies. Feel free to message me ☺️
