My two year old is the sweetest boy but he has started hitting and pushing. I’ve noticed this when I pick him up from daycare he hits other kids or pulls their shirts. And at the park he runs up to kids to hit them. It seems excessive and I feel really worried and do not know what to do.
I react calmly and try to redirect him to give a high five or ask for a hug. It’s not that he doesn’t understand, sometimes he’ll hit and say “don’t hit, it’s not nice” and then laugh
Does anyone else experience this? It honestly feels mortifying and like it’s a reflection of my parenting

Hi Mom, my son is 3 years old now. He went through the same phase around the age of 2—pushing, hitting, and other challenging behaviours. It gradually improved as his speech developed and he started understanding things better. It took some time, but we noticed a big positive change. Hope things get easier for you too. ❤️
