Growth scans

I've just turned 29 weeks, and I'm due to start growth scans at 32 weeks. For those that have growth scans, how far in advance did you get letters for your scan dates?

I was told they’d write/text with the dates and then went in for a midwife appt and was told off for not ‘booking them’ myself🫠😂 so I had to then go to the fetal medicine dept and ask to be booked in

Mine have all been booked in for me so I guess I’m quite lucky in that regard all I can suggest is to maybe at each midwife appointment make sure you’ve got your appointments booked in ?

Can’t wee after C-Secion

Sorry if this is TMI

Had an elective yesterday (30/07/26 9:21am) after an emergency with my first, i had to have a catheter in for 12 hours but haven’t been able to go to the toilet since. They did a in and out catheter after 6 hours and said I had another 6 hours to try and go before they would maybe need to refit the catheter again for 24hour observation. But I still can’t go even though I feel absolutely desperate for the toilet.

I’m terrified something is really wrong please tell me some of you have positive stories after this happening and I don’t have some kind of permanent damage 🙈🙈🙈

Inductions

I had my 36 week growth scan yesterday, everything is measuring perfectly, baby is weighing 6.2lbs and following their growth chart nicely. But I thought it was weird how the consultant said 'ok we will do an induction at 40weeks yeah?' and I was like umm no?? I'm a ftm, had a really straightforward pregnancy with no issues, only reason I have consultant lead is cause my BMI was slightly over the margin and it's my first baby. Has anyone else found that they're pushing inductions without medical reasons?

Normal pregnancy symptoms or..?

Hi everyone! First time pregnant roughly 5.5 weeks but already having quite a tough time with it all. Moderate to intense back pain started pretty much as soon as I found out at 4 week, pulsating sensation (not painful just feels like buzzing) in the lower stomach, headaches, exhaustion, mood swings, nausea, breathlessness and occasional fast sharp zings in the lower belly either on the left or on the right sides which as I’ve read online seems consistent with ligament stretching pains, which should occur closer to 8 weeks… I also have diagnosed endometriosis and PCOS, so wondering if those are maybe affecting the symptoms as well? Has anyone else experienced such a flurry of symptoms this early? 🫠

P.S. My great grandma, grandma and mom were all actually pregnant with twins at least once in their life, but hopefully it’s not that as not sure I’m prepared for twins straight away 😂😱
