First day at nursery for a Velcro baby!

Mum to a velcro baby here.
Just finished week one in nursery. Cried 4/5 days at drop off and at pickup.
Today was day 5 and she cried less. She actually slept at the nursery (without rocking, without white noise, no contact, just bum patting)

I understand the mum's guilt, I felt it every day this week. 😞

My only advice, try and make the drop off fun. Sing a song, do a happy dance with your baby, anything fun to put a smile on both of your faces (even though you are crying on the inside)

I'm hopeful it will get easier as the weeks go by

also mum to a velcro baby! mine did a few settling in days — on the first one he cried so much, i had to pick him up after about an hour

he’s been at nursery for a few months now and couldn’t be happier there. we make a big deal out of getting ready and going in the morning, and make sure to make it tons of fun

mine also only contact naps or feeds to sleep at home, but at nursery he’ll go over to his bed on his own and put himself to sleep. no idea how they get him to do that!!
