Hello! I’m currently 29 weeks and on week 32 I have a trip to Italy, the airline has a document that must be filled by a doctor or a midwife (fit to fly) but when I asked the midwife she told me she was not allowed to do that and yesterday that I called the GP they told me that they won’t sign it for me!!😭 Help! Who do I have to ask for the signature then?

Hey, your midwife have a form called fit to fly, its generic. I recently fly to Italy and they didn't ask me anything 😅

It’s probably because if anything happens they don’t want to be held accountable, my friend at 32 weeks was rejected by the airline, I’d rebook the holiday sis x

Yes, midwife should be able to do this. I went on a plane this week at 29 weeks and will be coming back when I'm 32. I asked my midwife for a fit to fly document and they did it straight away with both of my flying dates. I would recommend that you print the document before flying as well as I only had it on my phone and they wanted it printed off.

I traveled when I was 27 weeks pregnant and at the airport on my way back to uk they’ve asked for a letter which I had luckily. I would definitely ask your gp again, I asked for a letter mentioning due date, gestational date on my way there and way back and that my previous scan showed that I have a healthy pregnancy.
