20w Anatomy Scan

I had my 20w anatomy scan on Friday and although they said everything looked well, I was told that baby girl is measuring on the lower centile and they booked us in for another growth scan in about 2 weeks which has got me worried as a first time mum. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else and everything turned out okay?

Just got to remember it’s not always accurate. I know people who were told baby was measuring small and then turns out they were actually normal/bigger babies and the other way around too.

My baby’s Head measured a lot bigger than the rest of her body but she arrived at 7lbs 14oz.

Try not to overthink it as it is not always accurate and they are doing the best thing by keeping an eye on everything

This is more common than you probably know.
As Chloe said, these things are not always accurate and baby still has plenty of time to catch up if it is the case. They grow so quickly toward the end especially.
I completely understand your worry tho, try not to over think it. 2 more weeks till you get to see your baby again❤️
P.S. Hey from a local! I’m just round the corner from HP! x

Try not to worry mum. All babies are different … and often they get this wrong. I was told my first had a big belly and long legs… & would be big. she came out nothing like that and was 7lb 8 oz. My second was measuring bigger than my first all the way through and he came out 6lb 7. Just keep looking after yourself, eat well, drink plenty of water , take your pregnancy vitamins and try not to worry or stress about things out of your control x

I had this at 20weeks was told baby was measuring small then got diagnosed with GD at 28 weeks and was then told baby was measuring big 97th percentile and told she would be 10lb by 40weeks, she was then born at 40+1 8lb 1oz, try to take it with a pinch of salt the scans aren't completely accurate.

When I got my 20 week anatomy scan the doctor told me that their measurements have a 15% margin of error on either side bigger or smaller. Their measurements are just a guess more than actuality, it is very common for them to estimate a baby smaller than they actually are. But it’s natural to worry❤️

What age was your baby when you first left them overnight?

(Don’t judge I feel like this is giving bad mum enough🫣😂)

It’s my partner’s mums birthday coming up and my baby is seven weeks old I feel on edge leaving him as it is and all I read is people not being able to leave there baby till they’re over 2 months, is it bad if I do go for the night and leave him with a family member ? And is it bad that I’m even considering going 🥲🥲

Hospital bag

Finally it's due date month!

How much is everyone packing for the hospital? I've got a cabin sized suitcase and a changing bag full and still got some bits left to pack. Am I over doing it? FTM here so no idea what I will actually use but I also want to take things I might want to use even if I don't end up using them.

Also is anyone packing 0-3 clothing? I'm measuring in the 90 percentile but my midwife has told me that does mean I'll have a big baby. Again unsure and how many and what time outfits to pack. I love gone with just a newborn swaddle hoping that we will manage with that as my 0-3 swaddles are 2.5 tog
Thanks

Kayla, are you alive girl?

I realized Kayla was such a popular name when I was growing up there would be like 3 Kayla's in one class. Sadly I have not run into any Kayla's as an adult. Where y'all at?

2 weeks PP and feel so weak

Hey. I’m 2 weeks PP today and I’m feeling so weak and drained. I have no appetite to eat. It’s really getting me down and effecting me looking after baby. 😔 please say it gets easier.
