How are we all keeping our babies upright after feeds? My baby is 2.5 weeks old and I find it so hard to keep him upright for 20-30 mins after feeds as obviously they are so floppy still haha. He also doesn’t really like being burped or put over a shoulder and I feel like 30 mins is such a long time to keep a newborn vertical, especially when sleepy after feeds (but then keeping upright always disturbs him!) My baby is quite sicky as I think milk comes in thick and fast and sometimes he’s even sick like an hour after a feed or in his crib which is worrying so just want to know any tips or tricks! Thank yooou X

I try and keep her fairly upright after feeds in the day (not totally vertical but as upright as I can comfortably manage) and she still spews about 3 times within 10 mins of the feed so I'm not sure it really helps at all honestly. At night I do keep her upright for a bit but not 30 minutes, she actually seems to be a bit better overnight (maybe because her feeds are further apart so her stomach isn't as full?) so isn't puking in her crib too much. At least it's good laundry weather though, hate to think how I'd be drying all these muslin cloths, clothing and bedding if it was the winter

I usually prop myself up in bed and have baby girl lay on my chest as this way she can still sleep and is comfy but is more upright and helps everything settle

Do we need to keep our newborns propped up after feeds?? I did not know this 😮 I burp my baby but don’t keep him upright after feeds didn’t know this was a thing!
