Recently potty trained my 2.5 year old because he seemed to be showing a few signs he was ready, he took to it way better than I ever expected him to, he’s been out of nappies in the day for just over 3 weeks now and we’ve had no accidents, takes himself unprompted etc he was just ready it seems!
The first few nights I noticed he was completely dry at night, after that he did then start having wet nappies again in the morning, but now I’d say he’s having more dry nights than wet.
I thought dry at night would be something to expect a little further down the line. I am having to remind him to drink a little more some days since we started, but he is still drinking plenty and takes a drink to bed in the evening.
I don’t think he is completely dry at night now btw, as obviously there are still days he’s wet but just wondered if anyone’s ever potty trained at their children has naturally started not weeing in the night at the same time?

Some kids can start to hold their bladder overnight. I am a nanny and my nanny kid was potty trained at 2.5 and he can hold his bladder over night or will wake up to go. May sometimes have an accident once a week or so. My son potty trained and was still wet a night. All kids are different

Both of our kids naturally became dry at night at the same time they day trained.

My LG was reliably day dry by her second birthday but it’s only since she’s turned 3 that’s she’s starting to be reliably dry for naps and more often than not dry overnight as well.

My daughter was dry both day and night at the same time just after her 2nd birthday.
