I now want to be a SAHM 😩🤔

My daughter just turned 4 months. She's the cutest little button and I cannot stay away from her too long. I'll have separation anxiety. I was supposed to return to work after my six weeks (May 15, 2026) but I extended it and is supposed to return back to work on the 17th of this month. Im literally freaking out! I might extend it longer but I need money to support my family. Im a police officer and that alone freaks me out due to mandatory overtime. Idk I have a big decision to make. In only 2 weeks 😩

If you can make being a SAHM mom work I would. I wish I became a SAHM sooner. I quit working full time when my child was 4 and it was a wake up call how quickly she was growing and going to school soon. When I had my 2nd I didn’t work at all anymore.

Choose your baby. You will never regret choosing her. It is really hard. Some women are fine and ready to get back to work, and if they feel that way then they feel that way. They all have different reasons.

But if you don’t want to be away from your baby then don’t do it! It hurts. We were never meant to be away from our children. We definitely were not meant to be away from our babies. It will change her. If you are apart from her, it will change her. Doesn’t mean that is bad or would be a bad thing.

If you HAVE TO go back to work then you also have to. And in that case you have to find a great day care or nanny, or family member, and they will be the one raising her. Ask God for this answer.

If you are an officer then you are gone for long shifts. I had to do an internship for an entire semester after my son was a few months old and it made my heart ache- literally. Consider a part-time job while you navigate this first year if that is even possible.

Hi

👋 Hi everyone, I’m Joan!

I’m 31 and turning 32 soon 🎂, and I’m a proud mum to 3 wonderful children 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💕

I’m really hoping to meet some lovely, kind people and make some genuine friends 🫶 Since becoming a mum, I’ve sadly lost a lot of friends over the years, and it’s left me feeling like I really need some good people in my life who will stay 🥺💛

I’m super easy-going and up for anything really ☺️ I’m loyal, caring, and I’ll be the best friend you could ask for — I just want that in return 🤝✨

If you’re looking for a real friend, someone to chat with, laugh with, and be there for each other — please say hi! 👋💬 I’d love to get to know you 🥰

Having my daughter made me hate my career

I am 2 months postpartum (10 weeks) and I return to work tomorrow. My daughter is the sweetest baby girl, she is so easy to care for, breastfeeding has been a breeze, she barely cries, sleeps well, and smiles and giggles soooo much! I love spending time with her throughout the day but being a SAHM isn’t in the cards for me/realistic. Before her, I loved my career in ABA working with children on the spectrum. I’m a year away from finishing my program working towards my BCBA. It was my passion, and I loved it. I was great at it. But the idea of leaving my daughter brings me to so many tears and emotionally I cannot handle it. Prior to starting work I went places alone for a few hours (appointments; hair, nails, etc…) and I legit was itching to get back home to her. I have a lot of mom guilt about being away and missing things with her. I’m crying typing this just thinking about it. I know I have to go back to provide her a better life but I just wanted to know I’m not alone in that, and if resenting work/my career is normal in this stage.

I’m trying to figure some things out for myself

Do you genuinely like touching your partners penis? Of course I’d hope you want to please them but like do you want to and crave his penis? Or is it closeness and general penetration?
