People posting then getting defensive

I see people posting (particular post y'day about a child's dad buying clothes) and when they get the answers they've hoped for (agreeing with them) and giving advice, they get defensive and claim they know best anyway.

I see this often and find it really strange! Is it for attention?

Lol. I think such ladies would be coming here to get support against the man and when the man is instead supported and she's on the wrong she gets mad. Because it's widely accepted that men are always wrong lol. Even if they are told to think about their part in the situation it becomes a fight. Such people are always combative and right irl. Nobody can say anything.

Rolling is ruining my life

Baby has learned the fun new skill of rolling and loves to practice at night. This effectively means bedtime and resettles involve baby going onto her tummy and waking up as a result. Conveniently she also doesn’t know how to put her head to the side so she ends up very distressed causing interruptions to sleep. PLEASE ANY TIPS ARE WELCOME 😢😢😢

MIL forced a kiss on my toddler

Our 1.5 year old is selectively affectionate (clearly with those he knows well) so when we say goodbye I often say to him “say bye bye” and I let him decide how he’d like too, often I suggest a hi-5 if he doesn’t do anything. But yesterday, my MIL was round and when she said bye he forced a kiss and he was literally squirming away from her so it was extremely clear he didn’t want too, and I don’t want to raise him to think he has to be affectionate with people he doesn’t feel comfortable with (my MIL makes minimal effort).

Anyone having the same issue? Or have any suggestions for me?

Fussy 4 week old baby

I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for a "witching hour" and potentially reflux. It's like a switch has gone off in our baby and he's become unsettled and crying for no reason. I'm unsure if it's reflux as he only occasionally coughs while feeding and spits up small amounts during/after feeding. He does like to try and scramble up you while sat up after feedings and seems uncomfy on his front until you have him inclined on his back but then again will change his mind 😓 just want to know what I'm doing wrong.

Is this normal?

As my due date approaches, I’m starting to lose excitement & become more scared. I used to get emotional looking at baby clothes, but now I don’t want to look at them because I’m like “a baby will be wearing those in 2 weeks”. I’m a young mum, living at home still, so this is NOT how I wanted this to happen. I wanted to have my own home and privacy with my partner. I don’t want to have lots of people in my face days after birth wanting to hold baby or have to worry about waking people up at night. And more than anything I’m petrified I’m not going to be a good mum. With my sister everyone said they could just see her as a mum. With me everyone’s like “I just can’t imagine it”. I know they probably don’t mean it negatively but it makes me think, oh am I not capable? Or are people doubting me? I just want to cry at the thought of this baby being here and me not knowing what I’m doing. I often find myself wondering how different my life could be if I chose a different path, as vile as that sounds. I love my baby and want my baby, but the thoughts I’m having don’t feel normal.

Front sleeping

My LO is 4 months old and can now roll onto his front which is amazing, however he is rolling on to his front through the night. He’s in a sleeping bag (unsure if that information is helpful? 😆) sometimes when he rolls he cries as he can’t roll back or he is still sleeping and continues to sleep on his front, is he safe? I’m waking up through the night to check even if he isn’t crying I roll him back onto his back.
