4 year old has stopped sleeping

Just as our 1 year old has started sleeping.

A year of an average of 4-6 hours sleep a night I am losing grip on reality 🥲.

I'm finding it so hard to not flip out at my 4 year old when she wakes up.

We used to sit or lay with her, read to her, stroke her hair, if she woke in the night. Then one night she woke almost every hour, which went on for nearly a week. When we snapped she admitted she was doing it because she wanted us to stay with her.

Completely understandable for a four year old. Not something I can do as I need to sleep. She cant come in our bed either as we have tried, she just doesnt fall asleep for hours. Also cant do as we need sleep.

Now when she wakes we cant do the nice gentle things, as she will just keep waking and wanting them allll night. The only way is to just get in and get out as fast as possible.

Last night she got us up 5 times because she wanted her blanket put back on. I'd love tooo! But now I cant tonight as thats the next thing she is using.

Please help. I love her.

I am too tired to be nice to anyone. I want to be nice to her!! I want to solve it!! Everytime I am nice in the night she wakes up 5 times.

Baby is also teething.

I think a lor about getting hospitalised so I can rest 🥲

Oh gosh I feel for you. We had this but just two wakes in comparison my 3 year old started waking as my son started sleeping and waking only once and my husband and I were taking it in turns so we’d both get . But she would only want me.
The only thing that’s helped is using a clock on of the colour ones we got the cat one and introduced a star jar so if she stays in bed till the light turns blue for morning she gets a star. We also give her magnesium gummy before bed keep the routine really strict like even the order or night dress, brush teeth choose books bed time wee wee, low lights little dinosaur lamp on 2 books and back scratches they lay while she falls asleep.

Double check she’s definitely got enough sleep pressure! If it’s connection she’s seeking (which is super normal at this age still) there are strategies you can do overnight that focus on connection :) x

Settling in sessions nursery

I’ve book my daughters settling in sessions for nursery she gets 2 2 hour sessions. They said the first one I’ll stay with her and the second one i leave her which is very strange I think unless I’ve heard her wrong. Anyways I booked these without thinking 2-4pm and she normally naps at 3pm should I try to move it or keep it as is ?

Breast aversion

I went back to work when baby was 8 weeks old and pumped/gave bottle. He now doesn’t want to breastfeed anymore despite never having had issue with it before. He gets angry if I so much as offer him the boob. He’ll still breastfeed at night if he’s nice and sleepy but as soon as he’s properly awake he’ll refuse to latch and start crying. I feel so rejected

Building Our Registry

Hi mamas!
I'm currently expecting my first baby girl and I trying to building our registry for items that I absolutely need and will use. I've heard a lot of different opinions of what I will need and use and then others are different, which I don't know what to get and it's starting to stress me out! Any recommendations and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Own room?

Is it safe and okay for me to put baby boy in his own room now he’s 6 months next week? My partner is so loud and gets up early that he is waking him up so much.

Putting down for bed

My LO is three months old and up until a week ago he was very content and always was easy to put him down in his next to me crib but now wakes up every single time and cries as soon as he hits the crib, I’ve tried putting him down on my bed to see if helps but he does the same thing but eventually falls asleep! At the minute he just wants to be held and to stay asleep that way.

Has anyone else had the same issue or is there any way I can solve it?

Newborn trenches

My girl was born on the 24th, and lemme tell you I LOVE being a girl mom🩷 my only issue right now is she’s got her days and nights soooo mixed up, like I’m talking she sleeps nearly all day except to feed every 2-4 hours MAX ( I don’t ever let her surpass four hours because we’re trying to get her back up to birth weight) so I’ve been pumping when she has long naps and getting anywhere from 3-5oz in 20 minutes (10mins on each side)

We EBF aside from getting a bottle when dad wants to feed her, usually at night when I have to shower because my girl will not sleep at night. She’ll eat 3oz easily from a bottle and still wants more. I get worried about over feeding her because she’s been spitting up as of late.

My question is, how can I get her to sleep at night? She gets fed, burped, diaper change and a change of clothes before bed. I feed her until she falls asleep, and then when I put her down she wakes up and starts rooting so I’ll feed her again and she’ll fall right asleep after 5 minutes. I slept with her for the first week because of her choking scare, but we started to move her into her own bed in my room last night.

Should I be doing something different? I haven’t had a newborn in 10 years so I feel like I’m in no man’s land😅 ANY advice would help at this point, I just want my girl on some kind of schedule until she’s old enough to actually get her in a routine.
