Sticky eyes

Hi everyone! My baby is nearly 5 weeks old and has gammy/sticky eyes since birth... I feel like I'm constantly cleaning them and using breast milk on them. They've been swabbed twice now and midwife said its nothing to worry about, I just wondered if anyone else had a similar issue? I feel so bad for her, some times they look to be clearing up and then it comes back!
Born via cesarean.

Hey! My girls 7 weeks and had this since 6 - was told it’s like conjunctivitis but can be from a blocked tear duct. I clean it a few times a day with warm water but I change cotton ball after every wipe so it does keep spreading. Seems to have cleared up nicely now. I did get eye drops off the doctor but I’ve only used them a few times as water has worked better x

My baby has sticker eyes from birthday until 8 weeks. I have been persistently cleaning them with sterilised water 2-3 times a day. I was really worried too, at some point he can’t even open his eyes but slowly I didn’t even realised it’s clear! Just keep doing what you are doing it will clear up!

My little ones 13 weeks now and also had it since birth. We saw a specialist at the eye clinic who told us it can last until 18 months. There is an operation they can have for it after 12 month but it’s rare that they need this it just clears and opens on its own.He just said to consistently massage each day and clean with cool boiled water. He also said to only be concerned if little ones eyeball goes red xx

Some babies have what’s called a blocked tear duct which can cause a sticky eye and gunky eye. As long as the white bit of the eye isn’t red and it’s not puffy then it’s usually nothing to worry about x

Hey! This does look a bit like a blocked duct. I was told to do a “massage” on his inner eye where the duct is, running your finger from there down the side of the nose, to help unblock it. This worked with my son 💙

Girl or Boy? 🩵🩷

What do you reckon?
I had a gender scan at 16.4 weeks pregnant, I’m 17.4 weeks now. And they said baba is girl, but now someone has said and it’s got me thinking that they might have been wrong and it was hiding… what do you reckon?
To me, it looks very much girl.

Baby no2

How did people find the jump from one to two?

I just found out I’m pregnant with my second and rough due date would be around my daughter’s 2nd birthday which scares me because I want it to be her special day, obviously I know baby can come at anytime but I feel guilty already and also she will only be two im worried about the age gap being so young

How hard is it?😩

Placenta anyone?

Hey ladies, I wanted to know how you all felt about taking home your placenta... I was all set to take mine home, but now I'm like, do I want to bother with all the ends and outs.

I did plan to freeze it until I acquired the citrus tree I chose to bury it under...What do you all think? Have you done it?

Cramping

So currently 37+4 with my second. Last night I fully thought I was going to in to labour. I’ve had period like cramps along with mild contractions from 4am onwards that it kept me awake until 6.. it then went and it’s now intermittent. So weird. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Cramping at 20 weeks

Hello everyone I’m 20 weeks+4 and the past couple of mornings I have woke up with some cramping on my lower left side of stomach, not so much like period cramps but it feels tight and heavy and can be a bit painful, usually it goes within 20 minuets but today it’s lasted an hour so far, is anyone else experiencing this or previously experienced ?

What to do if over due?

Has anyone gone to 42 weeks in any pregnancies before allowing intervention?
2nd - from experience, would you choose induction or elective c section if got to 42 weeks?
I dont think ive ever heard a single good induction story

My 1st child was spontaneous and very quick, no intervention at all. However this baby seems to want to stay in!
