Humping

Because another parent gave me the strenght to talk about this.

My daughter is 28 months diagnosed level 2 and she has sensory needs as well for the past few months she has been “humping” to self soothe herself I would like to know for parents who dealt with this what would be a healthy way to deal with it ? How did your redirect to maybe let’s say a pillow but in the bedroom only and things like that she is considered non verbal but she follows instructions really well if helps at all ♥️ thank you for your advices im just trying to see if it would be okay to redirect to an appropriate area to do it rather than just trying to make it stop if it’s helping her regulate

My daughter isn't autistic but will sometimes sit on her heel of her foot and rub against it as if itching an Impossible itch or sometimes it would be on the floor. In everything I looked up, it either says it can be just normal behaviour or irritation from nappies or if she feels sore ect

Building Our Registry

Hi mamas!
I'm currently expecting my first baby girl and I trying to building our registry for items that I absolutely need and will use. I've heard a lot of different opinions of what I will need and use and then others are different, which I don't know what to get and it's starting to stress me out! Any recommendations and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Am I being unreasonable for 1 day?

Am I being unreasonable here.. my baby is 5 months old doesn’t sleep well in the buggy/pram has always slept better in her cot. My dad has invited us over for the day but expects my LO to take her naps in the pram which is going to result into a very grumpy baby as she will only nap in there for 20 mins/half hour max and I don’t feel it’s fair either. Nothing at my dads for her either like a travel cot etc and I just can’t be arsed with the hassle of it all if I’m honest, he’s in a grump with me now and hung up on me after me explaining this to him. I would of thought his partner would be understanding of this seeing as she’s a woman who’s had kids, wtf

Do you count down till nap and bedtime?

I was talking to a friend saying how some days I’m looking at the clock waiting for nap or bedtime and apparently they don’t do that. I love my kid but i like my breaks haha especially cause she’s never asleep too long and has grumpy days.

Own room?

Is it safe and okay for me to put baby boy in his own room now he’s 6 months next week? My partner is so loud and gets up early that he is waking him up so much.

4 year old has stopped sleeping

Just as our 1 year old has started sleeping.

A year of an average of 4-6 hours sleep a night I am losing grip on reality 🥲.

I'm finding it so hard to not flip out at my 4 year old when she wakes up.

We used to sit or lay with her, read to her, stroke her hair, if she woke in the night. Then one night she woke almost every hour, which went on for nearly a week. When we snapped she admitted she was doing it because she wanted us to stay with her.

Completely understandable for a four year old. Not something I can do as I need to sleep. She cant come in our bed either as we have tried, she just doesnt fall asleep for hours. Also cant do as we need sleep.

Now when she wakes we cant do the nice gentle things, as she will just keep waking and wanting them allll night. The only way is to just get in and get out as fast as possible.

Last night she got us up 5 times because she wanted her blanket put back on. I'd love tooo! But now I cant tonight as thats the next thing she is using.

Please help. I love her.

I am too tired to be nice to anyone. I want to be nice to her!! I want to solve it!! Everytime I am nice in the night she wakes up 5 times.

Baby is also teething.

I think a lor about getting hospitalised so I can rest 🥲

Antenatal Health Visitor appointment for second pregnancy/baby???

I am due a antenatal home HV appointment tomorrow for my second pregnancy. I never even saw a HV until after the birth of my first baby.

Has anyone else been offered or had one of these for a second baby? What happened at the appointment? Is this a new thing? We are located in the south/East.

The letter is very vague and just says it’s to discuss my current pregnancy.

We do not have additional support or contact in place from any other agencies and haven’t see a HV since my first son’s 10 month review.
