20 week scan gender reveal

Hi everyone. I am pregnant and about 13 weeks. I won’t be making a big announcement to family it’s just known between me and my partner. It’s our last pregnancy and I’m undecided if I want to know the gender. Can NHS write on a piece of paper what the gender is or are there legalities around that? What other ways can I have the gender noted IF I wanted to do a private gender reveal for me and my kids? I’m not really looking to pay extra for the private scans.

Some will do it, some won't, it's been asked on here before! So it's really luck of the draw. Basically the 20 week scan isn't really about the gender it's about much more important checks. So it will really depend on your ultrasound tech on the day. With the private ones they'll do an envelope, confetti cannon etc. So if you really want it a secret until a reveal I'd go private

I asked the sonographer to write it down for us at the 20 week nhs scan. They just popped it in an envelope 😊. We didn't look in the end!

we went private to find out early and obviously they were happy to put it in an envelope but at my 20 week scan they made sure if we wanted to find out there and then, I'm sure not everyone would be so kind as to do so but I think many people in this line of work are inclined to help you make it special

How did people find the jump from one to two?

I just found out I’m pregnant with my second and rough due date would be around my daughter’s 2nd birthday which scares me because I want it to be her special day, obviously I know baby can come at anytime but I feel guilty already and also she will only be two im worried about the age gap being so young

How hard is it?😩

Sticky eyes

Hi everyone! My baby is nearly 5 weeks old and has gammy/sticky eyes since birth... I feel like I'm constantly cleaning them and using breast milk on them. They've been swabbed twice now and midwife said its nothing to worry about, I just wondered if anyone else had a similar issue? I feel so bad for her, some times they look to be clearing up and then it comes back!
Born via cesarean.

Valentines baby 💕

Posted earlier this week about scan anxiety following mmc last year. Had my scan this morning and all was well. Was such a relief. Had almost a 30 min scan as baby was so active they couldn’t take measurements 😅 my stomach is going to be sore later 🤣 but at least I got to see baby for an extended time. Due date moved up one day to the 14th Feb as well 🥰 my little valentine ♥️

Cramping at 20 weeks

Hello everyone I’m 20 weeks+4 and the past couple of mornings I have woke up with some cramping on my lower left side of stomach, not so much like period cramps but it feels tight and heavy and can be a bit painful, usually it goes within 20 minuets but today it’s lasted an hour so far, is anyone else experiencing this or previously experienced ?

Internal ultrasounds

Apparently I’ve gotta have one….. today…..
Could someone who’s had one tell me about it. Does ir hurt like a speculum does???
shitting it tbh. You’ve got the normal people worries about this and then me with this whole pregnancy being awful because of previous sa trauma.

What to do if over due?

Has anyone gone to 42 weeks in any pregnancies before allowing intervention?
2nd - from experience, would you choose induction or elective c section if got to 42 weeks?
I dont think ive ever heard a single good induction story

My 1st child was spontaneous and very quick, no intervention at all. However this baby seems to want to stay in!
