Activities with a 3 week old

Yeah they are boring in the beginning. Just put baby on her tummy for a minute or two is normal . They have charts online for the length in weeks they should be on tummy, but just use it as reference and don't stress.

Not much lol! Just snuggles, tummy time either on your chest or on a mat on the floor. You can show them black & white flashcards if you want but honestly don’t stress. This is the time for cuddles, feeds and not too much else

Totally normal! ❤️ At three weeks, many babies are only awake long enough to eat, get changed, burp, and then they’re ready to sleep again. That’s actually expected.
At this age, “activities” are simple: talking to them, making eye contact, singing, skin-to-skin, letting them look at your face, and taking them outside for fresh air or a stroller walk. Even everyday things like narrating what you’re doing help their brain develop.
Tummy time doesn’t have to be a long session on the floor. A minute or two on your chest while you’re reclined, or over your shoulder after a feed, counts too. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends starting tummy time from the newborn period with short, frequent sessions while baby is awake and supervised, gradually increasing as they tolerate it.
You’re not missing out if she mostly eats and sleeps right now, that’s exactly what most three-week-olds are supposed to do. The longer wake windows and interactive play come over the next couple of months. 💕
