Hey Guys!
My little girl is 3 weeks old. I have no idea what activities I should be doing with her. Is it normal that her wake windows usually only last the amount of time of nappy change, bottle and burp?
The Health Visitor has mentioned Tummy Time, but she doesn't seem to be awake long enough to do this.
Any advice?

Yeah they are boring in the beginning. Just put baby on her tummy for a minute or two is normal . They have charts online for the length in weeks they should be on tummy, but just use it as reference and don't stress.

You're doing great

Donât worry too much at the start, only
3 weeks olds. Enjoy to cuddles x

Not much lol! Just snuggles, tummy time either on your chest or on a mat on the floor. You can show them black & white flashcards if you want but honestly donât stress. This is the time for cuddles, feeds and not too much else

Totally normal! â€ïž At three weeks, many babies are only awake long enough to eat, get changed, burp, and then theyâre ready to sleep again. Thatâs actually expected.
At this age, âactivitiesâ are simple: talking to them, making eye contact, singing, skin-to-skin, letting them look at your face, and taking them outside for fresh air or a stroller walk. Even everyday things like narrating what youâre doing help their brain develop.
Tummy time doesnât have to be a long session on the floor. A minute or two on your chest while youâre reclined, or over your shoulder after a feed, counts too. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends starting tummy time from the newborn period with short, frequent sessions while baby is awake and supervised, gradually increasing as they tolerate it.
Youâre not missing out if she mostly eats and sleeps right now, thatâs exactly what most three-week-olds are supposed to do. The longer wake windows and interactive play come over the next couple of months. đ

Lots of cuddles, soft music, talk to her,, tummy time on chest đ
