Hi all, I’m pregnant with my second baby and I’ve been thinking about how to make sure my first born feels loved, cared for and won’t have to fight for my attention. Obviously I’ll be doing my best to make sure they feel special, but if anyone is happy to share any ideas or how/what they did during this time to help thier eldest feel super loved, reduce any competition, embrace the family of four+ and generally make their eldest still feel special, I’d love to hear, thank you 🥰

I haven't stopped taking him out to do his activities like play group, the children's museum, swimming and the park. The baby usually comes too and enjoys being out. I'm also lucky and my baby only likes to sleep in her crib so I can focus on my son during her naps. In addition I have staggered wake up and bed times. My 3 year old wakes up at 7, and my 4 month old usually wakes up at 9 so we get morning quality time, and then I put baby to bed at 8 and then get my toddler to bed with my full attention. Personally I find it harder to get quality time with my baby that's not feeding, changing or bathing than finding that time with my toddler
