EIF or CPC

Hi! I just went to my 20 week anatomy scan and they said my babygirl looks and seems totally healthy with very low risk of any chromosomal defects but during the scan they saw a EIF in her brain and CPC in her heart and want me to go to a specialist for another ultrasound to get better details. I am currently freaking out internally and want to know if any other mothers have dealt with this and if it’s true they do go away after time. Feel free to chat me!

Nobody has any similar experiences? 😭

I know it’s absolutely impossible not to worry but EIF is extremely common and seen in so many completely healthy pregnancies and doesn’t affect how the heart works. And with CPC more than 90% of them disappear by the time you get to 28 weeks and doesn’t affect brain function. If your baby is low risk of chromosomal defects I would definitely be reassured lovely especially as usually at 20 weeks they would see major physical anomalies with anything like Trisomy 18 etc. Hope this helps, I know how concerning it is when anything is found on scans xx

Planned vs emergency c section recovery?

Is an emergency c section recovery harder than a planned one?

What recovery experience did you have with a planned or an emergency c section?

Has anyone had both?

Thank you x

Sweep

Just had a sweep done and she said I was 3cm dilated. Interested to know what this means and if anyone has had the same did it have any effect on you?

Elective or induction?

I’ve been told my baby needs to be delivered at 38 weeks. My options are an elective caesarean or an induction. Can people tell me their positive induction experiences as this is what I’d really like but I’ve only heard bad stories that have ended in emergency sections and I feel that an elective would mitigate this completely.

How often do you feel baby move?

For those of you 32 weeks and over. How often do you feel baby move?

I find that it comes in waves. One day baby is having a boxing match, the next day calm. Repeat.

Baby has been calm today. With my previous pregnancy she would have days of minimal movements, then when I would go hospital, she would beat around like she's playing the drums.
