Feeling alone

One thing I hear a lot when trying to find friends is that our generation(gen z) causes their own loneliness because of not putting in effort or trying to be apart of communities. I’m not gonna say no one’s doing that but you can’t just assume everyone does this. I have a good reason why I’m not involved with the community and it’s because I don’t have a license. Like if you don’t have a license or car you don’t have independence and you can’t just decide to go be apart of literally anything. It’s up to someone else and it’s on their time. I’ve tried several times to reach out to my community for help only to be told to just go get my license like I’m just some bum. I can’t tell you why I can’t pass the test but I’ve failed it 6 times meanwhile everyone that’s in the car with me can’t fathom how I fail it. I don’t know what my struggle is but I do know I’m not gonna get help with it and no one cares and I’m probably going to be dealing with this for the rest of my life

I'll be honest your not alone. I don't drive at all. My husband does all of it and I have very good reasons for that as well so I understand you. I'm here if you want to talk just message me

I took the course for 15 lessons when I was in NYC it helped me to pass my driver's test . What helped me was practicing in a familiar car everyday and then using that same car for the test. Practice makes perfect. Keep trying . Good luck.

Sending you hugs. Barriers to freedoms and community access are super tough.

There are other things you could possibly do. Look up kid events at your local library and take the bus or an uber there. Consider attending church, there is generally some sense of community at church. Take baby to a local park, even if he/she is too young, you can meet other parents.

But to tell you the truth, motherhood can be very isolating, even for those of us who drive. So, it is OK to feel lonely and it is good that you are utilizing Peanut for some sense of community and interaction

I would keep trying hun. IDC if I fail 10, 20 times, it’s something that’s important to me, to my sanity to my freedom, to get that license. We are CHEERING YOU ON MAMA. You can do this. Book another one!!! I think for me I’m so self competitive and stubborn (immense pressure for myself to succeed whatever I put my mind to) that I would keep trying for that license. I actually got mine on my 4th try coz I was going for my manual license from the get go.

Menstrual Disc First Time

Just started using the Flex Reusable Menstrual Disc today & when I say GAME CHANGERRR! (My cycle has returned almost 7 months PP)

Went swimming no issues. I’ve dumped it twice so far & cleaned it & had no issues. Was kinda weird trying to remove it but I got the hang of it.

Would I replace the period diapers for this absolutely not, but definitely an amazing addition. I don’t use tampons & my flow was too heavy for the pads I had so I got this & I love it. Never tried the cup but heard many great things about this vs the cup.

So if you’re wondering about buying it, this is your sign to!

Bidet 👀

How many of yall have used one and actually think it’s helpful? My husband spontaneously bought one two weeks ago and he suddenly swears by how much money we will save on toiletries. He loves it ofc and only uses that toilet now. But the water is SO COLD and it can’t not hit my cooch if I’m aiming for the back end ! So uncomfortable and even if I took a cold shower and can tolerate it, it’s painful warming up after. And I still have to dab pretty good after since I can’t just shake the water off… I need an experienced female to guide me through this “amazing” purchase lol

Please tell me this is normal

Of course I love this beautiful baby inside me. Of course I am SO UNBELIEVABLY excited to meet him/her (we don’t know the gender) but am I the only one who’s 37 weeks pregnant who doesn’t feel this unrelenting undying maternal connection to their baby? So far my baby has been my little buddy - we play tag through my belly, I love when they’re active and knowing that 50% of me and 50% of the person I love most in this world have created life but I still don’t have that connection I keep hearing about. Is something wrong with me?

Maybe I’m a weirdo

I am single 40 year old with two children and I feel I don’t have any friends. I find it hard to make connections and when I do speak with potential female friends, I think I over compensate and talk for England. All I would like is a friend who I can be my true self with.
