How did you figure out who you were? What your purpose was in life? For me, I always did for others, ever since I was a kid, because it made others feel good and same for me. But I didn't find out who I was. I still don't know who I am, but I know I love being around kids. I love my daughter, but, I feel empty. I don't have a sex drive, I don't feel like I am me. I feel kind of empty and lost.

Now I‘m afraid to talk to other people because I don’t really feel like myself anymore

I hear you. I still am figuring out who I am, what I like etc. I know I love being a mom but some days I don’t recognize myself. Just remember these feelings are very normal, it’s life changing becoming a mom, our whole worlds are completely different now. Just remember it won’t last forever, Hang in there and know there’s nothing wrong with you🩷

The truth is you are no longer the same person. As with any big life altering event, it changes you and you are put on a new path. As your child grows, you will continue to change with each stage! Your focus is just different now.
Ive been a mom since I was 16 and I just had my last at 40 (hopefully). With each kid, I've had to rediscover parts of me and readjust to them. But they grow up and move out eventually..and you start all over. I think of it as a new chapter of the same book.. Same characters. New info with each chapter.. shaping the person further. Its definitely not easy and its lonely bc only you are on your path and you have little control over this change. ❤️

After so many years of trauma, I came to the conclusion that my purpose in life is to live for myself. Simple as that. My purpose isn’t to be a mom or my job, even though I love it so much. It’s to live life and discover what brings me joy in life with all the changes in life.

I found it helpful to keep in mind to avoid telling myself “no” so quickly. A lot of times our minds are always going as mothers, so it’s easier and quicker for us to shut down our own ideas, most times before they even begin. Allowing yourself to keep talking with your thoughts through whether or not u should go do it (get that manicure, sign up for that pottery class, go for that walk, etc) is one of the main things that kept me discovering myself as a person again, try to also thinking on why you are telling yourself no, if you do because maybe you’ve grown out of stuff you used to do too. Anyways as soon as I just stated to myself that we will say “yes” more to the ideas in my head that I wanted to do, the more I started to feel like myself. Also you’re a mom but a person too so when you are considering something just try jumping into it and do it solo sometimes too!

Also, the purpose of life...for everyone...is LOVE. How you show it is going to change with each day and each opportunity. ❤️
