For a little background, my partner is 24 and he is stressed due to some trouble with the law(a road rage incident where the other person made insane claims), my son is 10 months old and very mobile (he’s already walking).
My partner has been super unsupportive and distant. He is always on his phone when he’s “watching” our son, and he doesn’t look at him or really interact with him during mealtimes or time spent together. When he does help, by watching his own son while I do something or just need a break, he does not take into account what the baby wants. For example, right after a full contact nap with me, he will try to get the baby to sit still and cuddle with him while watching tv, when it’s fairly obvious that he doesn’t want to be still and wants to be active(trying to get away, getting upset from sitting still, etc.). Also, when my partner isn’t being helpful and I kind of call him out for it, he brings up the fact that I played a video game for like 30 minutes while our son is playing in his playpen, note that I still interact with our son during this time. My partner basically only plays games and while get on the game and then ask me if it’s okay if he plays when he’s already in a party (voice chat) with his friends. He doesn’t really want to help with other stuff either, I asked him to help set up the crib so I don’t need to hold our son during every nap time, he said he doesn’t know why he needs the crib. I tell him I will just set it up myself then, now he doesn’t know where the bolts are for it and won’t look for them when he’s the one to put all of this stuff in the garage. He also gets upset when I try to give him ideas on what he could do with our son when he’s watching him but he gets upset and tells me he knows how to parent, then does things our son doesn’t enjoy and wonders why he doesn’t fucking like him.
I am so tired. I need a partner, not an idiotic manchild who is always distant and on the off chance he isn’t, he’s dismissive and argumentative. I’m so fed up.

I also take care of HIS grandma that has memory issues and incontinence. I’m her full time caregiver. So I do A LOT around the house and am constantly working in my own home.
