Anyone else started with low mood about 8 months having their baba? I had a traumatic birth and never felt this low after it which is when I kinda expected too. Iāve been struggling with weaning at the start, my HV wanted to refer me to counselling for that but I managed to get over it myself and weāre smashing it now. But at the moment I just feel sad all the time, Iām not enjoying things I normally do, bickering with my partner constantly over things that I know arenāt his fault Iām just snapping. Feel like everything is getting on top of me and idk what to actually do about it. Can you get post natal depression 8 months in? Is that a thing?

I donāt go back to work until next year so I donāt think itās that eitherā¦..

Sorry to hear this. It might not be this at all as itās not really post partum related (and also given the time of year) but only sharing my experience. I found that when I had a period of low mood and fatigue it was because I had extremely low levels of vitamin d. I also suffered with aches and pains in my joints and hair loss. As soon as I got my levels up I felt like a new woman!

I did around the 8 month mark, I put it down to other factors going on, but cried most nights after bedtime. It lasted a week or 2, and has improved. I know it can take a while for the hormones to settle, even when you think youāre through the worst of it.
But it would still be good for you to reach out to the HV or GP for some support ā¤ļø

I did at the 8 month mark as well and I was just beyond angry at my husband over nothing, I think it was down to not really getting a proper break as I think they need loads more attention and entertaining at this age and you can't just pop them on a playmat and come back and they'll be in the same place š so life just comes a bit harder, i do feel better now though but if it continues for you talk to your health visitor š
