Arm and walked me to the back door to go outside. So I open it because he needed to regulate, which my son did. but now
His father says I’m interfering with his parentingwhen I didn’t see it that way at all, all I did was see what our non verbal child wanted and holding him by his wrists and saying to complex words frustrates him like his dad was doing. Son has cognitive level of 9 month old
He was standing on our table which is normal and not unsafe how we have our home arranged and a habit we are working on through therapy and he didn’t want to hear why he’s approach was wrong in my eyes. I wasn’t mad or anything but he started a fight with me
He ended up packing a bag and leaving over this.
He also said 7am is too early to be outside and he need to learn the difference…it’s already 76 outside so going out in the morning in routine.

Does your husband often use jujitsu as part of his "parenting"? A lot of people think that asd kids don't feel pain. Especially those that self harm. They absolutely do. He should leave honestly. Clearly he doesn't know how to regulate himself and he's a danger to your child.

Just to be clear your husband is an abuser and it might not seem that way because he's doing it to someone who doesn't understand and cannot vocalize their pain. What would you do if your husband kicked your feet from under your body? So you're wrong in the sense you're not protecting your child.
Edit it to say I understand the struggles of having an asd kid and the stress it puts on relationships. Family life is never really "normal" but using martial arts on your kid cannot be part of the abnormality of it all.

That man does not sound safe.
How I see it, It’s better off that he’s gone.

I'm glad he packed a bag and left. Don't let him come back.

He needs to stay gone. I fully understand being an ASD parent is overwhelming, we don't get sleep a lot of days and things can honestly suck sometimes but you are your sons voice when he can't speak for himself. This is insane to do to a child.
