Moving House with Newborn

When you have just had a baby and you get a completion date to move house this Friday (baby will be 2 weeks 2 days). The only words are shattered and overwhelmed. Any one else done this before?😰

Hire a removal company that will literally pack everything for you. You can then load the car with the things you and baby need and go to parents or friends house whilst your partner and the removal people do the house. It's costly but it's also really helpful. Do not book AnyVan. Awful company. We use Alexander removals but I'm not sure if they are derby/midlands based but they were excellent and there was no limit. They charge for their time and their men not per load or box. I've not had experience of moving with a new born. But they will reduce the mental and physical load off you

Yes. Did it last month with my baby at 2 weeks. You need your village.

We moved earlier this year with an almost 4 year old and a 3 month old. If you can afford to hire a removals company to pack for you, it was an absolute game changer for us, would highly recommend!! Make sure you have what you need to hand (cushion for breastfeeding, bottles, muslins, water bottle etc)

We basically did it so I was on baby duty, my husband was on moving duty, and my mother-in-law came to be on toddler duty and it worked out okay! I do have a very organised husband which helped and the removals team did most of it.

I think it was actually hardest on our toddler because there was a lot of waiting around but a 2 week old will hopefully be happy to just be carried about. If they will go in a carrier so you can be hands free that's even better but at 2 weeks, you need to be resting as much as possible!

I moved with a 5 week old post emergency c section. Unfortunately our competition date was confirmed only a few days prior due to problems up the chain so we couldn't get a removals company. Try and get one booked in ASAP! We just got family round to help with packing and unpacking while I focused on looking after baby. It's not easy but it's not impossible!! Good luck with everything

Keychains and Phone Charms

Hey guys! I started making these little keychains and phone charms and I’m loving them! I haven’t done it yet, but I’m thinking of adding my baby’s name to one🥹

Too late for C section?

Hey everyone, so I’m 39 weeks today and I’ve become really frightened about having a vaginal birth. I’m worried that I’ll panic when labour becomes painful because I have a very low pain tolerance. I don’t feel that I can cope with a vaginal birth the closer it’s getting and feel like I’d maybe like to request a planned C-section. Do you think this is still possible or have I left it too late? I feel as though I will panic so much I won’t be able to push and will end up having a c section anyway.

PP waxing

I’ve gotten Brazilian waxes for years and got one before delivery but had to have emergency c section and now at 4 weeks PP want another but am scared for my incision even tho it’s closed. Anyone have a cesarean and get regular waxes? How long after delivery? Also still bleeding a lot. I just find it so uncomfortable and want to do my regular wax!

Is there something you randomly think of and laugh while going to sleep?

I often think of my husbands work having them take professional pictures and for some reason they had him take off his glasses. What is this a passport? Because he had no glasses on his eyes looked sort of strange (being literally blind) and we are almost 100 percent sure whomever edited the picture flipped his eyes upside down lmao. I almost peed myself looking at the picture and because he doesn't know what he looks like with no glasses on he just thought he has really weird eyes lmao.
