Hospital Etiquette

Tell me why, at quarter to 5am, in a shared room someone is taking phone calls. There's a time and a place and 5am in a shared room is NOT IT. Im usually not one to complain to staff about stuff but after pushing a baby out only 13 hours ago, all the sleep I can get is needed, not to be woken up 😭

The woman next to me spoke to every single family member she had, she was on the phone basically all day, had to listen to her birth story so much I knew it better than my own 🥲 and then someone brought their toddler in who proceeded to cry and watch cartoons at top volume. I was so so so glad to be home. You’ll get there! X

I’m curious, what’s the WORST part about having a C-Section?

I’ve got 2 kids and never experienced a C-Section, so I’m generally curious and haven’t seen any posts about what the worst part is? I know lots of people will say the aftermath - leaving the hospital (not being able to move, dealing with incision pain, achy body etc) & thereafter but I’m more specifically asking about the hours before, during surgery and the hours after the C-Section and not necessarily the PP part of it. Would love to hear about it 🤍

Planned/ elective/ emergency C section recovery opinions?

Due a planned c section soon due to a severe tear in my last birth with lasting damage to my pelvic muscles.

How was your recovery? Really worried about coping with a toddler.

Strong babies?

Has anyone else got a really strong baby!
My little Olivia was born on the 3nd August and shes soo strong, she fights me every opportunity she gets haha! She can make self soo stiff and shes even holding her own head up!

What's with these August 2026 babies they seem to be super strong, have hiccups all the time, lift their own heads!

Baby’s growth

Im worried about how baby is growing :(

I have had very small bump my whole pregnancy. I had an ultrasound at 34 weeks to check baby’s growth and it shows shes 9% percentile.

She was 21% percentile at my 20 week anatomy scan. Midwife says it’s okay but on the low side and that baby is just small. I will need an ultrasound every two weeks to monitor it until baby’s here.

Have any other mom’s babies been around 9%? Was the baby okay but small? And what happens if baby gets to 3% which is what my midwife’s and concerned about?

Scar?

Hi moms, my baby was born 5 months ago and I still have a slightly raised scar where the c- section is. It’s not keloiding and it’s not infected but it’s kind of ugly…. Good thing my fupa hides it.

How long did it take for your scar to start disappearing? Is there anything I can put on it to make it go down ?

Thanksss moms
