How many country's have you visited?

How many countries have you been to?

Before having kids it was a goal of mine to visit every country in the world.

So far I have been to 31 countries. The crazy part is I didn't even have money back then to travel, but some how god or law of attraction made it happen.

Since having a child I haven't travelled much.

I'm just curious what your travel history is like and if travel slowed down after kids.

There's no vote option between 0 and 10 😂 I would think most people would be around 3-5

I’ve been to 31 too! Only went abroad for the first time 13 years ago. Since having children 5 years ago we’ve only managed 4 new countries I think, so yes same as you!

I think ive visited around 13 countries mostly in Europe and then visited Canada twice and USA 8 times. Going to Venice next year. When my son was born we did struggle financially and do a few caravan holidays in the uk. My parents belonged to a holiday timeshare so they paid for us to go to a couple of places although unfortunately I think the era of cheap flights is no more!

44! We travel as much as we can post kids but inevitably not monthly like I used to travel pre kids x

Need Real Advice

✨Long Post✨

I have been with my husband for 6.5 years and we have a 1 year old. My husband is honestly my best friend and love of my life. We’ve worked through a lot of childhood trauma and communication issues together and really are in one of the healthier parts of our relationship. He hasn’t ever had consistent works since we’ve been together - since we met during COVID. He is a bartender and has a hard time with management styles. He is very creative and charismatic but just struggles taking direction sometimes. I have been the sole income earner since 2 weeks before our baby was born which is really stressful. On top of that, I am a frugal person and have never had large debt before. Since being with my husband, we are now in the tens of thousands of dollars of debt. We have dipped into my retirement fund twice also to help pay off debts. He also has previous school debt, medical bills, and tax debt that he has been avoiding. WHAT DO I DO?!? I have told him many times we need to get this sorted, we need to meet with a financial advisor and figure this out. He needs a consistent and well-paying job. He knows all this but still just struggles to get motivated and moving. He is the absolute best dad and I love being with him. But is that enough?? I can’t comprehend having any more kids with him, let alone taking care of the one we’ve got on my income alone.

Please help, would love some realistic advice.

Changing poopy diaper

I’m not sure where to post this.

I work at a daycare and I am currently with the infants and one of my kids that I care for has some really bad smelling diapers. I don’t have a problem changing poopy diapers until this lo. I gag and have to stop myself from throwing up. What should I do? I’ve only had to change him once and every other time someone else has done it but I’m the lead teacher this week and I’m not sure what to do.

Does anyone else ever just get mad when your significant other is sleeping when the baby finally goes to bed?

Okay mad is probably the wrong word. More like upset. My boyfriend will 7 times out of 10 be knocked out after I get our little one to bed. And it shouldn’t bother me because I know he gets up before the sun to go to work but sometimes when you’re a SAHM and all you want is him it just sucks.. (especially when the day was freaking horrible) and when you finally get to have some one on one time together he’s knocked out. And before anyone says “just wake him up” he’s literally impossible to get up 97% of the time. I feel horrible when I pester him to get up but sometimes I’m just really really lonely… so now I’m just sitting here alone listing to the dryer clink around and I just want to cry.. for no reason. He’s exhausted and know he needs his rest but it would have just been nice to have some adult human interaction today I guess… I just needed to vent any I feel like all the other people in my life either won’t reply or just won’t really care.

How can I get my mom to understand she needs to help with my kids?

I have twins who are 5 years old. My daughter is developing fairly normally, she's just slightly behind. My son has had serious health problems since birth and has struggled with growth, mobility, and is several years behind on all milestones. He does not speak, walks very poorly, cannot climb steps ect. My mom does not visit or help in any capacity. The children really do not understand that she's someone of any importance. They treat her with as much excitement as the grocery store checkout employee. I am in great need for rest, a second set of hands, babysitting coverage when my son is regularly hospitalized. I see everyone else with grandparents who take their grandkids for the weekend because they want to, buy them gifts, get excited to see them, take them to activities such as the park or for a meal, enjoy photographs of them, attend their achievements and activities. My mom their only grandparent has never done any of this. She lives 20 mins away and drives well. So distance or transportation is not an excuse. She is also a millionaire so it's not a financial problem. She does not contribute financially to help with her absence as a grandparent. I am exhausted to the point that I'm unsure how I will continue most of the time. I have asked her to help many many times. It's always no. She also expects me to drive her to appointments, arrange her appointments ect when she's fully capable of doing it herself. I do not have time or energy for any if this. When she does come to my home she brings bags and bags of expired food, expired formula when the babies were little, extremely worn used kids clothes that are usually completely incorrect sizes or for wrong seasons and broken toys. All of this makes a lot of work for me. I'm already beyond the garbage allowance I can throw out at my apartment every week because of medical garbage so I have to pay to have this junk removed. Most of it is not good enough to donate anywhere and even then the sorting takes up time and energy I do not have. I can't feed the kids expired food or things they do not want to eat. I've asked her over and over again to stop bringing this shit but it continues. I'm just so sad and wish I had some support.

Going from 2 to 3

Okay need advice. So I have two girls 6 and 2 and just found out I was pregnant with #3. I’m very conflicted. I NEVER imagined having another and truly felt I was done. I really had no desire or thought of having another child. I am happily married and my husband is fine with any choice I make. We financially are fine right now with two but having a third would mean needing to get a bigger car and move from our 2 bedroom to a 3, plus an additional daycare expense after mat. leave, so possible strain??My oldest is in lots of extracurriculars and younger one will be starting some too so this could be difficult with having a new baby and I definitely don’t want their activities to suffer because of having another child. My husband works 2 jobs so weekends I’m alone with the kids . I also work full time M-F. I also have been on GLPs the last 3 months so finally starting to get my body back and feel like myself again 😅 Being a girl mom is the best and really could not see myself having a boy BUT at the same time I love being a mom and know I could love a third.
