Anyone else just constantly worried something bad is going to happen or something is going to be wrong with their baby? I am always thinking of the worst! My partner reminds me baby is happy and healthy and there’s nothing wrong but sometimes I just get overwhelmed and feel scared, I am always checking her! Someone tell me this passes - she is 12 days old

Hey! You’re not alone. I think mums are almost programmed to think this way to make sure our babies are okay. It’s if you’re constantly getting stressed and anxious about things which seem irrational which is when it’s time to maybe get some support. Ppocd and ppa are really common and can really mess with your brain if you let it! I’m sorry you’re going through this, If you ever want any advice or support, give me a message! 💕

Its definitely normal to have a little fear, as mine got older I found myself imagining all sorts as he would walk outside etc. But it definitely gets better. As Gabrielle says, if its all consuming and becoming obsessive then definitely speak to your doctor as they can help.
If it helps, my son is 3 next week and each night I check on him when I go to bed, and after I've put my pajamas on etc. Before I get into bed. So theres always some elememt of it there.

At 12 days old this is completely normal ! Your hormones are going wild and you do get some anxiety around things which is normal as a way to protect them
But if it starts to control day to day life and doesn't calm then speak to your doctor
