I need mum advice!

My baby girl is 5 months old and just got her injections today, but today she’s just been really constipated and seem to be really uncomfortable and even in pain that she’s just screaming, I feel so bad that I can’t help her relieve it, I feel like I’ve tried so much. I’ve given her a warm bath, her colic constipation formula. Infacoil, legs press ups. He message chair to relax her and tried to do a little message but have to pick her up because she’s just crying so much and wants cuddles so I can’t really do that. I just don’t know what else I can do to help relieve it so she’s comfortable. It doesn’t help she’s teething and also has the flu ontop of all that so I’m struggling 😩

This is what I would do… I’m not a DR.

Give her lots of love and cuddles, skin to skin to help regulate her temp and nervous system. You might have to sleep semi upright with her and breastfeed as much as you can to help her immune system process the vaccines! (If you are BF) check her temperature every hour and give her Panadol if it gets high…Take shifts with your partner or support person so you get a break. Have someone monitor you if you want to co sleep and aren’t used to it or haven’t done it before. I have also heard that magnesium can relieve constipation but I haven’t tried it and you would need to make sure it’s safe for 5mo. Sounds like her little body is trying to process a lot right now, if I had all that going on I would be upset too. Just give her as much love and soothing as possible, dim room, soothing music. Swap out with your partner so you get a break. Sounds like she really needs some Panadol to be honest, you can call 13 SICK and talk to a doctor for free.

Pandadol? Could even ask virtual Ed doctors if Pandadol is okay or if they have any suggestions

I am not making it up

So my daughter is now two months old and about 14days old, she was five weeks early, so any way I was told by my last HV appointment she should start smiling, I was like ok but in her own time, I know babies will do things in their own time, last week I began to notice her trying to smile and yesterday I leaned over her cot to give her a morning kis and she smiled at me and fell asleep, when she was a awake she smiled at me while I dressed her, this morning she smiled again and tired to get photos, these are her smiling aren't they, I was letting her do in her own time but I didn't know if premature babies have some catching up to do because they are premature but please tell the truth is she starting to smile

Double buggy?

I have a 2 month old and a 3 year old, and I’m considering a double buggy but some people have told me not to bother!
For context, I try and get out and about with both my kids when I’m on my own, my toddler doesn’t really like to walk for extended periods, little legs get tired. And my 2 month old already weighs around 13/14lbs. Him in a baby carrier hurts my back 😅
I was considering a double buggy that my daughter can just get in and out of, we’re also going on holiday in October and I thought a double buggy would be convenient when we are on days out.
Does anyone have any recommendations, suggestions? My budget is £200 max really as I know I won’t use it for that long. Thanks x

Speech

I have my only boy who is 21 months old and not really saying many words. He understands everything and does ramble on all day in his baby language lol but I haven’t been concerned as such but a few people have asked me why isn’t he saying many words and it made me feel slightly anxious but I was just thinking he will do it on his own time. Just wanted to get other parents opinions etc, thanks in advance x

People are telling me to bottle feed!!!!

I’m exclusively breastfeeding and I keep getting comments saying I should express my milk and bottle feed. I really don’t want to. Does anybody else find people comment on this?

Car

My baby is 10 weeks old and has pretty much from 2 weeks old hated the car. Im genuinely at the point of considering buying another car seat to see if that makes a difference. People who have had the same experience, what did you do? She screams no matter the length of the journey and is so distracting.
