Family Traditions.

So i grew up in a household that didn’t celebrate holidays for religious purposes. When i was old enough, I didn’t partake in the religion. We actually stopped attending when i was about 10 years old. Now that i have a daughter i want to start traditions. With the upcoming holiday season approaching, i would love to hear your family traditions. Some things i can google but hearing from real families, would be better.

I love carving pumpkins on Halloween evening before doing anything else so we have a moment of calm before the chaos, and for Christmas eve we all open one gift (normally pj's or something cozy like a new blanket and a snack of some sort for our Christmas eve movie of the polar express), then we wake up early Christmas morning all in our Christmas pj's from the night before and we do stockings and gifts. We always get the pets stockings with toys and treats and we help them with their stockings before anyone else gets to theirs and the dogs get so excited. Also shortly after Thanksgiving we all go to the local giving tree at our mall and pick a kid that we shop for and get as much as we can for (not just the minimum), to encourage giving and community. I haven't had my kid yet, but these are what I did as I was raising my brothers, and when I have my own kid I plan to keep these traditions alive to teach them holidays are about family and time together not just food and gifts.

Open or closed concept?

I bought a closed concept house because I wanted to keep my cats out of the kitchen. 😊 my family was saying they prefer open concept and suggesting I tear the wall down to open it up… no thanks😅

Postpartum shoulder pain

I am 3 months postpartum and recently experiencing lots of shoulder pain, neck pain and hand/ finger pain.

Is anyone else suffering something similar?

Early symptoms

Would love to hear everyone’s early symptoms. I’m around 4 weeks and not really have many besides feeling bloated. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had Covid so I was just miserable in general

Anterior placenta

I have an anterior placenta and currently 26 weeks pregnant. I can feel baby move so much but my partner can’t, when will they start to feel? It’s my first pregnancy 😊
