1st Birthday Party

We can’t decide whether to have a 1st birthday party for our baby boy or not? I just feel like it would be the easiest and best way for all of our family to see him (as I know everyone will want too) but I also can’t decide whether I’d rather we just spent the day together as a family of 3 ❤️
Will we then regret not having a party? 😭
Any advice would be much appreciated thanks x

We’ve always had tea parties in the house with family and close friends and done a day out separate x

I spent the day as a family and then throw a little party the weekend before or after his birthday at home, just a few balloons, some food n that'd it, don't do anything else as it gets really costly and if there isn't many kids no point of thr soft play n all that stuff as it doesn't get played with much

I'll be doing the same for no2 and his 1st birthday.

We just had a little gathering at the house with friends and family, nothing crazy.. some food and drinks, cake for the birthday boy and then when we went to bed, we had music and stuff to just hang out with family and friends we’d not seen in ages.
Saving the parties till they’re older and can appreciate it 😂

Baby is here!

Baby boy arrived on his planned c section date of 13th august but via spontaneous labour, waters breaking, over a day of contractions and taking forever and a day to dialate. Born 9lbs 5 ounces at 39 weeks and 3 days. My Vbac was deffinately a very different experience from my c section.

Early symptoms

Would love to hear everyone’s early symptoms. I’m around 4 weeks and not really have many besides feeling bloated. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had Covid so I was just miserable in general

Family Traditions.

So i grew up in a household that didn’t celebrate holidays for religious purposes. When i was old enough, I didn’t partake in the religion. We actually stopped attending when i was about 10 years old. Now that i have a daughter i want to start traditions. With the upcoming holiday season approaching, i would love to hear your family traditions. Some things i can google but hearing from real families, would be better.
