Im feeling really guilty that we haven't gone on a holiday with our little girl. Im a teacher so it would have been amazing to go away during term time but she started army crawling at 5 and a half months, she hates the pram, hates the car, isn't a good sleeper and can whinge/cry quite a lot if im not holding her, so the thought of going away just seemed/still seems so stressful. However, seeing other people go away with their little one makes me feel like ive missed out on making special memories. I think its because there is so much pressure to do every activty, club, adventure etc on maternity leave.
Anyone else feel the same?

Tbh we have only had 5 days in haven this year. We usually go away but its just too expensive. Making memories at home is a perfect idea too ❤️

We stayed in the uk for holiday but haven’t gone abroad

I also work in a school and feel exactly the same. My little one needed a really strict routine else he would really struggle. I go back to work in September and I’m overwhelmed with guilt, we definitely put too much pressure on ourselves as Mothers. We have our whole lives to make memories with them ❤️

I haven't taken mine anywhere, but we are planning one next year. I'd rather take my LG away when she can get more out of it, have a little toddle around and stuff.
First year memories are just about getting to know each other, that can be anywhere especially at home.

Im a teacher too and we went away in June to haven and had a lovely time. Weve booked an abroad holiday next year and little one will be 22 months
