Coping as a FTM

Hey ladies... I guess my question is how do you cope? I'm a first time mom to an almost 6 month old baby girl, and I feel like more often than not, I lose my marbles. I had one instance where I just screamed because she wouldn't settle and I was sleep deprived and everything was too much, I was home alone and she was next to me and my husband had just arrived home and he took her and I broke down. I couldn't believe what I had done.

Today was another hard day and I started crying while he settled her for sleeping and she looked at me and I swear there was worry in her eyes. She was sad cause I wasn't holding her anymore and that just made me cry more.

I'm bad with loud noises and I tend to get overstimulated easily and I don't want that to affect her, but I don't know what to do. Can anyone else relate? I don't have any mom friends and I feel like my mom and sister think I can't do this whole mom thing and I just want to feel like there's light on the other side.

when you get overstimulated put her in a safe place go into the bathroom turn on the fan or white noise to where you cant hear her then splash ur face with cold water and try to breathe and when you feel calmer then tend to ur baby

ur baby crying a few minutes isnt going to hurt them they need a wellrested and calm mommy ❤️

So relate. Mom rage just snuck up on me and has me acting in ways I never thought I would, and my medications don’t help either lol. Honestly buy some noise canceling headphones or earplugs! I got some for my birthday that are lowkey stylish and don’t look like gross old earplugs. It helps soooo much when I’m overstimulated. See the problem, find a solution no matter how “strange”. It’s hard when babies won’t settle, my first was colicky and bad acid reflux, I seriously thought I would die from sleep deprivation and depression. But I made it! And you can too! Snuggle bub if you can, ignore mom-social media where everyone “has it together” cause that would get in my head too. And it’s so fake, or it’s just their journey and we shouldn’t compare. If you need to set babe down, do it, tell her you’ll come check on her, and just go to the other side of your house for a breather. Have a snack. Haha I would have bad anxiety with it but after a while my baby would slowly not cry so much.

Sex question!

I’m almost 2 weeks postpartum 😂my sex drive is back and it’s driving me mad. Had my little boy almost 2 weeks ago but had to have stitches! How long do I have to wait before we have sex?! It’s driving me crazy!

Are these cot liners ok and safe? Anyone else use these?

My 5 month old keeps getting his arms and legs stuck on the side of the cot. He also has bumped his head too. Are these ok? They’re saying they are breathable too?

Naps?

What sort of schedule is everyone doing for naps at 6 months?
We still have 3 naps…
wake at 7ish
nap 1-9:30 (45 mins ish)
Nap 2- 12:30-2:30
Nap 3- 4:45-5:15ish
Bedtime - 7:30/8

He’s really fighting the last nap at the moment but I feel like he still needs it as night sleep is not as consistent as it was! Wondered what everyone else is doing?

Thanks 🥰

I feel like a sex addict

I hear so many women saying they didnt feel ready even after 6 weeks and they feel touched out and I hear and understand how they can feel that way. I feel the complete opposite and I havent seen anyone else say they have like right after birth (obviously i just pushed her out so body wasnt ready) but mentally i was so ready. Is it normal to feel that way

Satan-in-law!

Ohh where to begin! My sister in law has caused a lot of drama during my pregnancy resulting in high blood pressure, panic attacks, and high stress. I’m trying my best to focus on my pregnancy and me and my husband are working hard to ensure our marriage stays strong but she seems to love putting a wedge between us! Baby is due in 3 months, she hasn’t contacted me in 2 months. Is it cruel to not allow her to meet my baby when he is here? She has treated me like crap and turned her whole family against me and also tried to do the same to my own family. She is a liar, narcissistic, manipulative etc. and I don’t want this energy around my child. Any advice??
