Im not sure if this is a post requiring advice i think I just need to rant. Me and my husband have a 4 and 2 year old and then we were surprised with DCDA twins. Twins dont run in our family so it was a shock. Of course we are very appreciative and blessed thinking about the fact we have four healthy children but wow this is the hardest time of my life. These twins dont sleep longer than 30 mins in the day and we are currently in the summer holidays. All night and all day me and my husband new back to back trying to get these babies to sleep. When will this hard part end. I releive my husband from 2am cause he works and then from then onwards im spending time rocking them to sleep one by one and then my older kids are up at 6am. I have fanily round and have had help here and there but ultimately this is my everyday reality. When will this torture end because im sleep deprived, physically exhausted from rocking two babies at the same time then only getting 45 min restbite before they wake again and im dealing with terrible twos and a four year old. Any words of encouragement would help. I stopped breastfeeding at 4 weeks but I pump and give formula too.

How old are your twins lovely?

Oh bless you, I so feel your struggle! I’ve been there and it’s relentless with twins. I don’t know old your two are, but things started getting easier with mine once they started having a bed time and more of a nap routine - around five months I think. My husband and I got a bit of time together in the evenings once we put them to bed. You’ll get through it - it’s so intense and so hard at the beginning but you’ll do it.
