Hi ladies, I just came back from the pediatrician and she said something that I was a little confused about. She said that now that my baby is two months old it’s time to stop the contact naps. She said to try and wean him off of them because he’s going to have a more difficult time sleeping on his own if I don’t start to do this now…
I was under the impression that all the way till three months it’s not even something I would’ve had to think about… Till we start trying to do sleep training.
Has anyone else heard anything like this? Or the contrary?

My daughter will be two months old on the 24th. She still has contact naps with my husband and I. Yes, we’re trying to wean her off eventually, but we do what she’s comfortable with. Even if that means she falls asleep on us before we put her in her bassinet.

I haven’t heard that anywhere. But our 2m appt is in a few days. In any case, I’m sticking to my contact naps because before I know it my sugar plum will be a grown man avoiding my kisses in public lol

Does she nap anywhere else? Like does she fall asleep in a swing or bouncy chair. If so that’s not a contact nap and counts in my book. My sons 2 months and hell nap for my mom and my sister in the bassinet but for me it’s a contact nap unless he’s in the swinger or bouncer.
