Right, so my 3 week old will not stop crying unless she’s breastfeeding. But, if I feed her constantly, then she screeches because she’s taking far too much, which results in trapped wind.
How in the hell do I get her to stop crying, so I can actually take two minutes for myself. I’m hardly eating, showering happens past midnight when she’s finally settled and forget about something as simple as brushing my hair.
Seriously, is this normal behaviour? Because everyone is suggesting I just let her cry out, but that isn’t happening, because I refuse to let her cry to the point where she coughs, and she won’t stop anyway.

is she getting enough?

She’s averaging about 20 feeds in a 24 hour period now.

Have u tried expressing so you can control how fast she’s getting it through the teat by taking it off her giving her chance to breathe my little girl couldn’t get the hang of breathing while sucking cuz she’s a little gannet and ended up with colic. You can go back to the boob too just because she has a bottle doesn’t always mean she won’t take back on the boob. But just check with your health visitor too

Have you tried different types of soothing music even like falling rain on a shed that always helped me or classical music

Soo this is pretty normal. For a baby, they think boob fixes everything. So baby will give hunger cues but they're not actually hungry, maybe their belly hurts from gas and they need a burp.
You may need to burp more frequently.

Very normal. Probably cluster feeding - ensuring there’s enough for her tomorrow. Have you got a wrap/sling? She may just want the closeness.
Also - if you have a bouncer, put her in that while you shower. She may cry but you can keep an eye on her and know she’s ok. Not the most relaxing shower 😅 but we all feel better after a quick wash! It will get easier. These first few weeks are the hardest.

Sounds like gas. Is she scrunching up her legs? I would absolutely recommend some form of gas drops. Lots of different brands make them and they help a ton!

How about a pacifier? Maybe she is only sucking to comfort herself...

She’s also spitting up after every feed…after I’ve already burped her…normal?

Have a look at different Burping / winding techniques and try gripe water.

Also…is a white tongue normal?

Yes, white tongue is from milk x
I’d second the bouncer while you shower and brush your hair, it will help you feel so much better and therefore also more able to calm her.
And I also second something to help the wind, like infacol, worked so well for my little one.
And baby wearing so she’s close to you. (I loved my stretchy wrap at her age, but when I got a sonny wrap at 4 months I used that I interchangeably too.) That way she’ll be upright and on your chest so good to help some wind come up and be having a constant cuddle. Put on rhcp and have a gentle dance!!!
Also, go outside. Outside or a bath are magic for little ones. Find something to point out to her and talk about, literally any tree/cloud/bird and just describe it. Low brain power needed from you but she’ll get fresh air and your soothing voice. Xx
