It’s been over a year and I still can’t come to terms with who I was before having a baby and after. I always look at old pictures and compare my body and life and I feel like I’m grieving but can’t let go of who I was I feel helpless like I’m never going to be that me again I’m just a mom and that’s it. I can’t shake the feeling for the sadness I get I feel like somethings missing does anyone else experience that too I don’t even do my makeup as often anymore because I don’t really go out and I went from a size small/medium to a size large

Some of the best advice I heard a mom give to another mom before I had my daughter was to get your little one into what you like and do it together. If it’s bike riding, sports, art. Whatever you like try it with the little one, I know a mom who did yoga with her baby and that little one loves to teach her friends yoga now and it’s helped her a lot with regulating her emotions and such.
Also try putting on even just mascara after you do your skincare. Putting my makeup on and doing my hair has helped me so much.
But give yourself so much credit you brought an amazing little one into this world. It takes years for a women’s body to heal it’s so sad that society expects us to bounce right back its not realistic for every women and it is mentally damaging. You are doing a great job raising your little one, you are totally still you just you with a little one your rocking it and looking gorgeous while doing it💕

I completely understand why you feel like you’re grieving, because in a way, you are. You’re grieving a version of yourself and the life you knew before motherhood. 🤍 But give yourself grace—you didn’t lose yourself, you’re becoming someone new.
You’re still that woman who loved getting dressed, doing her makeup, and feeling good in her body. She’s still there. Give yourself a chance to love and appreciate who you are in this season too.
God didn’t make you a mom so your identity would disappear. You are still His daughter, still a woman, still YOU. Motherhood is a part of your story, not all of who you are. 🙏🏽❤️
