How much do your husbands contribute to the housework if you both work?

Do your husbands do an equal amount of housework to you? Admittedly, my husband works 3 days and I work 2 but he barely lifts a finger around the house. He will cook on nights hes off, do the dishes and put the washing in the machine and hang it out. He never vacuums, mops, tidies up, puts any clothes away, cleans any of our 3 toilets or 2 bathrooms, never gets up untol 9am on days off whereas our 3 year old and I are up at 645 everyday...and im pregnant. The otherday I commented on how it would be nice if before inviting friends over (while im at work) he could tidy up a bit. He got very cranky and commented on how he never mentions what i dont do around the house. He then proceeded to nitpick all weekend and comment on how I could've filled up the water filter (with 10L bags) etc. Is this the normal for most women? So we all just do more and just deal with it? I know it's a similar situation with other mums around. I know i cant do this forever. Please be kind

My husband works 9-5pm. He does daycare drop off every morning. I’m a teacher and on summer vacation right now and my husband sets an alarm for 7am to go wake our son up (I type this as he’s waking him up now).

My husband and I share dinner and dishes most nights. Although he probably does more cooking and cleaning.

My husband does all of the laundry. We moved a year ago and I’ve never touched these machines. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Vacuuming and mopping is more my thing anyways. But he’ll do it if we have people coming over. Same with bathrooms. He’ll clean up after he trims his beard hair which I appreciate lol.

He also does all the yard work, garbage/recycling weekly, car maintenance (I don’t even gas up my car).

He does all night wakes, every bath with our son, bedtime routine. He manages the Costco list/groceries so that mental load is off of me.

We’ve never talked about roles or chores. We’ve just slipped into a pattern that works for us. But if I need something more, I’ll communicate that

Mother-in-law trauma

So mother-in-law is coming to stay for the weekend after multiple years I get her reasons for wanting to spend time with her grandson, but we also moved away for a reason when I first had my son. She walked around a whole baseball game claiming it was her kid one time she told me she would stab me and my fiancé and our kid without us. Said that I was just such a selfish person for madding the decision to move to a state that is only an hour away after coming back from a state 14 hours away when her son decided it and then proceeds to tell me I can’t call her son baby who I’ve been married to for seven years…. Now she’s staying for the weekend after years of not seeing her. I don’t know how to react. I don’t want to fake and be happy while she oversteps her boundaries with my son. I also don’t wanna fight. And don’t wanna talk to her. What if she gets offended if I don’t wanna talk to her. What would you do?

Girls would you be annoyed if your partner was like this.

Ok so I need advice. I have been with my boyfriend 8 months. And we have been out for dinner like 2 times. Never been for lunch. He always says how tight for money he is. It’s ALWAYS me making plans. I even messaged him the other day saying can we have a date night on Friday night and even stated it can be anything just some quality time together etc. and he said oh don’t think I could this weekend it’s my sons birthday and I’m taking him away for the day. Which is completely fine but I’m off work on Saturday why can’t I also go? Or at least be Invited. He went to a concert 2 weeks ago and told me he spent 100 pound yet if I was to suggest going to a concert he would say no. I also want to go on holiday or atleast go to a city break at the end of September as I am off work for 8 days and my daughter who is 6 is going on holiday for a week with her dad. So I am literally free and will really miss my daughter but he says he doesn’t think he will be able to afford it. Yet this man works 5 days a week 7am-5pm above the minimum wage he could definitly save. Or I even suggested paying for most of it because it’s his birthday soon. Should I talk to him face to face and ask why he never plans anything with me?

Would you leave your children aged 5&3 with your mil and go abroad on a holiday for 4 nights?

5 year old had sleepovers previously but 3 year old never did.

I asked my husband to ask his mum first, to see her opinion but he is asking me I should make my mind up first, which is right?

YouTubers on every platform 😭

We banned YouTube from our household a while ago because it’s so easy for the kids to click through and watch something totally weird from the grown ass adults making “kid” videos. We’ve used platforms like Netflix, Disney, Hulu, etc and recently they are FULL of the dang YouTubers we wanted to get away from 😭😭😭😭😭 I have an almost 8 year old, 7 year old and 5 year old. Platform recommendations???

Baby eating purées

My son will be 5 months old on the 22 and at his 4 month check up his pediatrician cleared him for purées and he has been actually eating it since the second go at it. He is still drinking his bottles but will also eat 2oz of purées sometime even more when I mix formula and rice milk into it. Is anyone else’s baby doing this? Am I over feeding him? He is still showing signs of being hungry but I’ve read I’m not supposed to give him more than 2tbsp a day?
