Growth Scan problems

Hiii growth scan today and just want to know everyone's opinions as ive left upset and feel like i dont know how worried to be!! Im 35weeks plus 1 and baby is now breach they've said they are worried about his growth and im now on weekly scans as he looks around 5lbs is this really small or??? Worried for baby and had planned to do a natural birth so its all just knocked me back a bit

They've basically told me the only option is a c section at 38/39 weeks unless he moves on his own

Mine has been dropping centiles since since about 20 weeks.

He's currently SGA and we're being monitored weekly as pretty close to FGR.

What centile does 5lbs put him on? And have his centiles remained consistent or have they dropped?

My first was born weighing 5lbs 11oz, at 38 weeks. He was also breech.

If you're worried about baby and they haven't explained what their concerns are then you need further discussions.

You may still be able to achieve a natural birth. Have they discussed options for that with you?

Hi I'm 35 weeks and having 2 weekly growth scans as my baby's measuring on the 6th centile. They are saying small for gestational age as the baby is growing along this centile. They want to induce me by 39+6 weeks. I was worried at first but nothing else looks concerning so I think the baby might just have a small constitution. I know how you feel as I don't want to be induced either but want to do what safest.

I wouldn’t worry with that weight at all, I’m 39+5 and my baby is measuring 6lb 9 so I would say that sounds about right. I imagine the scans will be to check if baby has turned in time.

Look into spinning babies, there’s still time for baby to move yet x

Yeah, it's hard having to trust what they say and actually known the evidence yourself for what they're saying

I cant comment on the breech/c section as no experience but my first born was predicted to be around 8/9lbs. I delivered her naturally at 39+4 and she weighed 6lbs 1oz and had no health problems etc. X

I’d say 5lbs should be normal for 35 weeks but I’m not an expert. But my daughter was born at 35 weeks and 5lbs 2oz so surely that’s an okay weight? I wouldn’t worry too much about that personally! Plus I’ve heard they get weight wrong allll the time.

After I gave birth I have things bulging out of my vagina ! My doctor said it’s normal most women that have birth vaginas look like that but she recommended I do some kegel exercises and not worry about it , but I can’t help it

4lb baby

I’m due to have a planned c-section at 38+1 due to intrauterine growth restriction (I’ve had many complications with my placenta but luckily he’s managed to hold on in there until 38 weeks!) however my placenta is worsening and he’s dropped to the 2nd centile and his weight is currently only 3.9lb (I know their measurements can be off).

I’m wanting to know if anyone has had a teeny tiny but full term baby and whether they needed extra support in the hospital? My understanding is he may need help with his feeding & body temp - I’m hoping not breathing. I’ve been warned he may need an NG tube. I’m very open to all of this support but would just like to hear if other people have been in this position and if so, what did it look like for you & how long were you in the hospital for? 👶🏼

Hospital bag…

I’m 32 weeks today and starting to get my head around packing a hospital bag ready again… where has the time gone!
My son is 20 months, so I should remember everything I packed the last time, but my mind is pretty much blank… I’m guessing baby brain!
Any ideas or top packs? I know the one thing I was thankful for was my hand held fan. (Hoping if things go to plan, it will be a planned C section again due to my health conditions.)

Not much movement

I’m 27 weeks tomorrow and I’ve not felt much movement since Sunday. I have an anterior placenta so I just keep thinking he’s tucked himself back up behind my placenta again and I’ve just been incredibly lucky the last two weeks to have felt him kicking me and tapping me back after I prod him and playing little games.
The only way I can explain the movements is like muscle spasms a few times a day and then l have idea how to explain the pressure or sensation just above my pubic bone.
Do you think I should go to the hospital?
