Postpartum depression

My patience are gone. My son 12M and a step daughter 9Y , I’m not the biggest fan of my step daughter I find her to be just to much and she really adds on the stress to my life recently (I’m not blaming her personally) My 12m son is fighting night sleep and just cries so much all the time, I can’t even turn my back and he starts to cry, I’m pregnant again 8Weeks, Night time I get to the point of wanting to harm him or myself. I do sometime get a little rough with him. I have a prenatal appointment on Thursday (Aug 20,2026) I want to bring this up but I’m really scared my doctor will call CAS/CPS and I’ll lose my son and my step daughter will be forced to go back to her mothers (her mother is mentally abusive to her, and this causes my step daughter to talk about self harm, and act out adding more stress onto my plate. As I’m alone with both kids all day monday- Friday) I want to abort my pregnancy because I can’t handle going through all this all over again.

If your son is in danger it’s best to be honest with your providers. If he is not in danger than they won’t take him away. You need help and no one can truly help unless you are honest!

Can you get your son into a different bed? We sleep trained and my whole life turned around. Having my own room and sleeping through the night was huge for my mental health.

Sounds like you need a team. Get the help you need through therapy, your dr, any family. It’s time to ask for help

Sleeping on your back

Hi guys, I've been told so many different things about ways of sleeping. I try to sleep on my left but I always find I sleep on my back. Is this ok?

Postpartum Hair Loss

Anyone else experiencing postpartum hair loss around 3 months? I genuinely had no idea this was even a thing until it started happening to me! 😩 Any tips for helping with it? And does it actually all grow back? 🥲

17 month old not walking

My son has just turned 17 months and still isn’t walking, he can crawl, pull himself up on things & cruise along furniture. He’s also able to take a few steps if we play a game of back & fourth but gives up quite quickly.

I think he may be double jointed, I’ve spent far too long on Google & im really concerned / starting to not sleep because of it.

Has anyone had any positive outcomes?
I feel like I’m not doing enough etc 😩

Doing so much better

Just wanted to make a post to any other new mums out there who are fixated on your baby’s sleep.
For the first three months it was all I could focus on, making sure she got enough daytime sleep to help stretch out her nights / focused heavily on wake windows. I realised I became obsessive and it was making motherhood so rigid.
For the past few weeks I have thrown it all out the window and have trusted my instinct, stopped tracking on huckleberry and very loosely follow the clock but more so look at my baby’s cues.
Her sleep is still very much up and down but she has given me night stretches of 6 hours at times. The one significant improvement has been in myself and my enjoyment of motherhood. I actually feel free? 🤣
I know schedules work for some but ultimately wake windows are just an average and every baby is different.
I really would recommend to anyone who is struggling with this to just put everything down even for a few days and see if you notice a difference in yourself
I’m here if anyone wants to chat about the wormhole of sleep, the routine of searching everything on Google and the worry of everyday feeling like a battle of naps 💕
