I'm very pregnant and pretty sick, GD and hypertension and macrosomia, and huge and in a lot of pain. My husband quit his job about a month ago to start a business but then the landlord wanted to redo the floors before we got in there so it is taking longer without him being able to be physically present, though we both have been very active in setting up things like vendors and bank accounts and websites and social media. If anything I'm doing more of that than he is, trying to contribute what I can sitting down.
My husband complains constantly about how he's not built for sitting around all day. Meanwhile he's not interested in helping supervise our toddler and the house is an absolute wreck and laundry is sitting in the machines for days because I can't physically handle much and I'm not supposed to anyway. While he lays around whining there's no work to do and watches me work on the computer while he plays chess online.
When I get too exhausted from trying to do everything and ask him for a nap he engages my son in the loudest possible play, bouncing dodgeballs as hard as he can off the walls and banging as loud as possible on the piano.
He also occasionally lets his frustrations out and says things like "Are you fucking stupid?" to me in front of our son.
I am financially trapped and have nowhere to go, not that I could physically get up and go with my toddler anyway right now. But I wish I could.

I'm sorry to hear that you are going thru that. An honest conversation about your needs and your concerns about his behavior and outbursts is def needed. Maybe couples therapy can help open up the lines of communication respectfully, can be done by video I believe. Taking on extra stress and responsibilities in order to feel like you aren't just sitting around, isn't helpful to you, your family or your pregnancy. He needs to step up, and also start taking care of his mental health.
