Feeding to sleep

I know a lot of us feed to sleep and that babies are biologically wired to do so. But what are we doing when a nap only lasts 30 mins and the wake window is then over in 1.5 hours… its only been 2 hours since the last feed so are we feeding again for the next nap? This is what I’m struggling the most with right now! My baby has definitely formed a feed to sleep association so it’s a lot harder to get them to nap without a feed.

No your baby will show signs they are hungry. How old is your little one?

I think my daughter is the same I’ve noticed she gives similar cues when she wants to sleep (hands in mouth) when she’s truly hungry she will root as well and smack lips. I still put her on if she just seems tired. You can try putting your baby back on the breast she just had. I think it’s normal to still offer the breast for soothing at 3 months. You could try the National Breastfeeding helpline if you’d like some reassurance https://www.nationalbreastfeedinghelpline.org.uk/

From breast to bottle

Hello, has anyone had issues trying to get their breast fed baby to take a bottle? I went back to work and my 10wk old has been refusing the bottle for my partner. Any suggestions?

Next to me crib

My baby is 13 weeks and I am having trouble putting him in his next to me. He hates how wide the crib is and never settles unless I use the najell sleep carrier. We were using love to dream swaddles but he started to roll and self sooth with his hands now so just changed to armless sleeping bag. Does anyone have any tips to try and get him in his next to me crib so he has more space and it makes it safer.

Poop Question

Sorry if this is tmi, but out of nowhere around 5 weeks my baby’s poop suddenly has mucus-y strings throughout and it isn’t getting better or worse just still there a week later. We’re going to the pediatrician tomorrow to have her take a look but I don’t think dairy is the culprit because I am mostly dairy free and he doesn’t have any other symptoms of a dairy allergy. I’m wondering if anyone has noticed that their letdown caused this? I have a really strong really fast letdown and I’m an oversupplier and think that could be what’s causing the issue?

Opinions

Does anyone else feel less attracted or wanting to have less sex because of how useless they are as a partner/person/dad. Like the longer we’re together the more things piss me off about him and his actions.

From cosleeping to cot 13month old

Send help. I’m trying to get my EBF 13 month old to sleep in his cot, at least the first half of the night to start with.

If I transfer him and he doesn’t wake up it’s usually ok. But if he wakes up, he screams - like there’s no tomorrow! It’s so overwhelming. I end up just putting him back in the big bed with me if it’s too much.

Anyone in a similar position with any advice??

Since vaccines are a topic today. You do realize u wouldn’t know if your child is in a class with unvaccinated kids right?!

These post are so funny to me because how we feel about vaccines and our kids being around unvaccinated vs vaccinated kids, doesn’t matter because schools aren’t going to disclose medical records for parents to even know what’s going on. We all want to protect our kids but if they are in school there’s no knowing who they are around…
