Does anyone else get angry when their baby cries?

I find that sometimes when my baby cries I get angry. Not all the time but quite often. Obviously I contain it in order to care for her, but I find it quite uncomfortable to admit.
I just wondered if this is more common, and other people feel it too?

Remember crying is a babies form of communication , so no I don't get angry I do get anxiety because I dont know what he wants and I dont want him to be without anything he needs because he can't speak. U should speak to your doctor because that could be signs of postpartum depression.

I understand, I can get very overwhelmed at times. Cries are tailored to such a frequency to make sure we know something isnt quite right.

I no you mention you can contain it - but maybe you need to find away to release it as holding it in will only last for so long and the body is very clever at finding ways to release it. If it's there and mixed with sleep deprivation, I would really recommend you ask for support if you can from family, other half etc.. and put things in place to help you, when it all becomes a little too much. Maybe an ear defender in one of your ears, or an air pod with music just to take the edge off? If it all gets too much, have a safe place like their cot to place them in and step away for 5/10 minutes.

Babies are so clever and will take longer to settle if we are tense from stress. Therefore a few minutes will make all the difference!

Always here if you would like to chat x

It's very normal, I wouldn't cry myself but my partner would struggle, he explained it like it's amplified in his brain and he can't deal with it.

Sometimes it's down to sensitive hearing, other times it can be down to how our brains work.

You aren't a bad person for feeling this way, but as others have mentioned it will only happen more and more with time sadly. Definitely recommend some noise cancelling headphones (good ones) to help so you can still be close.

It is definitely tough, especially when it's your first time and if you're trying everything but they just won't stop ❤️ my HV would always recommend I check over the questions in the book when hearing my baby cry to do with how I'm feeling ❤️

Feeding to sleep

I know a lot of us feed to sleep and that babies are biologically wired to do so. But what are we doing when a nap only lasts 30 mins and the wake window is then over in 1.5 hours… its only been 2 hours since the last feed so are we feeding again for the next nap? This is what I’m struggling the most with right now! My baby has definitely formed a feed to sleep association so it’s a lot harder to get them to nap without a feed.

Urgent sleep help needed!

My little girl is 16 months and had co slept with us until 14 months. She has been in a small cot in our room up until recently. Shes been in her own room a few weeks now but her sleeping is terrible. It’s taking most night 1.5/2 hours to get her to sleep. Then when she is asleep we try to creep out, the second no one is in with her she wakes up and screams. It doesn’t matter if I crawl out, do it gradually or walk out she just knows.

I’m just exhausted. I’m up half the night with her each night now, I have no evenings. She’s tired everyday because she’s not sleeping enough. It’s just exhausting. Any advice?

A big part is definitely separation anxiety, my husband thinks we need to let her cry it out… It’s a big change going in her own room without us, I just don’t know what to do for the best.

Right now everyone’s shattered.

Anyone been in a similar situation and any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much :)

When to have another baby?

I had a baby girl in May and she is amazing! I’ve always wanted two children and was wondering what the best age gaps are? However looking at her now I couldn’t imagine my attention being also on another child and already feel guilt for wanting another baby. I feel like this will change when she’s a little older and might even be asking for a little brother or sister by that point.
Is it wait till then until she understands more or have one in about 12 months so she would never know any different.
I think because she is so great it’s made me want another really bad but some people have said that the first one tricks you into having another and then the second child is a lot harder 🙈😩
Am I over thinking all of this because I know people have babts at all different stages in life but then main problem for me is the guilt I will for all the attention not being on my baby girl

Travelling

Has anyone got to Mexico with a 4-5 month old? We are staying at an all inclusive.

Specifically inquiring about how to sterilize bottles? Recommendations?

Any tips/tricks that you swear by when traveling?

Thanks! 🩵

Naps and daycare

Hey ladies, need to hear some positive stories about mums that have struggled with naps / only contact or movement naps and then had to go to day care. Everyone says daycare workers are miracle workers and just get it done but I’m still so worried. Bub will be 5.5 months old and she’s a hardcore contact napper, terrible at transfers except night.
