Washing powder suggestions 🫧🧼

Hey mamas, I’m due very soon and now ready to start washing our baby’s clothes/bedding/blankets (eeek!). Would love some recommendations regarding washing detergents and powders that have worked for you and whether you tumble dry too? x

I’ve been using fairy wash pods and drying on the line/airer but will probably have to tumble dry in winter

I use fairy non bio but I’ve been looking for a more ā€˜natural’ one recently. I heard tallow and ash is lovely.
We dry on the clothes horse but we have one that you can plug in and it heats up. We used the heat in winter but haven’t needed to this summer x

Persil non bio - I tried fairy and I didn’t like how the clothes smelt after

Washing machine - baby mode
Fairy non bio and comfort sensitive (white one with a baby on it
Tumble dry on baby care x

We use fairy but mostly because that's the only stuff I can use with my own sensitive skin!

Ecover zero unscented ! Normally use Miniml which is nice and clean but they don’t have an unscented version x

I was using Smol washing pods and they smell fantastic and wash really well but it turns out they've been using the Astley Warehouse distribution site that's causing a load of pain for the local residents so unfortunately going to have to look for something else. I've heard Tallow and Ash is really good though!

I used anything unscented for sensitive skin. I use a dryer tho since my backyard currently has all dirt.

Fairy non bio. Or ecover. The ecover stain remover is great! :) our tumble dryer has a baby setting for delicates so we use that for some things. I don't tumble new or best clothes and haven't tumbled at all during the summer months x

Plan B or no?

Please I know I’m a dumb ass so let me just say that. My husband included. I’m 6 weeks post partum, ok to have sex again. My husband and I proceeded to have sex last night for the first time again and he did not pull out. He didn’t mean to because immediately after he realized he messed up. In his defense, we have never pulled out BUT that’s also why we have to kids close in age. However, we are done having kids and I’m going to be tying my tubes. Yes he’s still a jack ass for that and so am I.

Point is man, should I take a plan B or what should I do? :(

Finding out I’m pregnant again 5months postpartum…

So around 5 weeks ago I found out I am pregnant again. My baby is nearly 6 months now and when the second is born she will be around 13/14 months old I’m absolutely terrified as she was a c section baby and I know I’m probably going to have another c section….
She is breast fed also …

Has anyone else out there been through this already having 2 under 2 year olds, how hard is it??

any one got suggestions about stopping breast feeding before birth so second baby can have the boobs exclusively or should I start pumping and just give bottle breast milk to older child and the new born? Just looking for advice and suggestions really…

Baby boys playing with babies

What’s everyone’s opinions on boys playing with baby dolls. My little boy who’s 10 months loves playing with his baby dolls and my dad (baby’s granddad) said he shouldn’t be and he should be playing with ā€œboys toysā€ I told him it will make him more caring and he will grow up to be the best dad himself. He really disagrees

4:30am wake up for cereal and tantrums

2 nights in a row now, he’s woken up from
Co sleeping with us (he’s had two weeks of being sick and just wanted to keep an eye on him) he’s woken up at 4:30am screaming like he’s in pain and pointing to our stairs. We found out he’s doing that because he is hungry….. any tips on to avoid this 4am wake up session to eat?

Also tantrums. How are we handling them? He’s only 16 months old and he’s throwing fits like he is 2, with little stompies and backing up, can’t tell if he is in pain but he’s been chomping on his fingers more lately and apparently holding his jaw according to my sister, so I’m thinking he’s teething and that’s causing him to wake and scream constantly.

Dropping the dummy

Hi ladies any advice for dropping the dummy I find it’s more hassle than it’s worth and my baby just doesn’t keep it in but wakes when it comes out. She seems to want it but is becoming dependent on it in quite an unhelpful way. My first didn’t have one so this is all new territory. I wouldn’t mind her having it for comfort but the constant dropping it and then waking isn’t really doing that.
