Bedtime nappies

Our little boy has started sleeping through the night but as a result his nappy is rather full on the morning and leaking. We currently use pampers and they have been perfect up until now anyone got any recommendations of nappies to try!

Rascals are really good through the night. My baby is a side sleeper and they’re the only ones she doesn’t leak in over night x

Rascals! I’ve found pampers leak a lot now, we’ve had a lot of blowouts in the day with them but we’ve started using rascals for overnight or when we go out of the house and only ever had 2 blowouts with them (but both times were from VERY big poos 🤣)

I use rascals for the night and then Asda ones in the day 😁
Rascals for us never have leaked

Is the vest sized up to allow expansion of the nappy? Have you tried sizing up in nappies for night time?

We’ve always used pampers at night and they’ve never leaked unless the nappy or vest had got too small x

Navigating politics as a mother

Has anyone really struggled meeting mum friends because of political concerns? I have always been very left wing ( pro palestine , supporting trans/gay rights , anti racism) and even more so after having a baby because I feel like i’m even more passionate to have a kind world for our children . I get a little worried when i meet other mums at baby groups that i’ll find out they’re actually right wing or against a lot of the morals i hold and i wouldn’t be able to keep that around my child . Not sure if it’s normal to feel so strongly about politics around my baby.
But also if it makes me uncomfortable then that’s also an issue i guess ?

Washing powder suggestions 🫧🧼

Hey mamas, I’m due very soon and now ready to start washing our baby’s clothes/bedding/blankets (eeek!). Would love some recommendations regarding washing detergents and powders that have worked for you and whether you tumble dry too? x

Sex Postpartum…

Hi ladies, how long has everyone waited/plan to wait to have sex again? I had an unplanned c-section just under 5 weeks ago, but recovery has been really good so far and have been feeling ready for a while but the guidance for everything seems to be wait till at least 6 weeks. Just wondering what everyone else’s thoughts are, and anything to be aware of? 🤍

Cradle cap

Is it normal for my 9.5 month old to still have a small bit of cradle cap (see picture)?

Do you have any tips for how to get this off? I can’t really exfoliate properly as it’s right over his soft spot so can’t push down.

I’ve heard coconut oil is great. How would I use this? Just melt it down and apply once a day and leave on/exfoliate?

MIL issues

So my baby is EBF and he is only 7 weeks old on friday. Every facetime, phone call or visit she goes on about taking him home with her and talks about when she will have him over night etc. Recently my partner mentioned adding formula for some of the babys feeds I said why he is gaining weight fine there is no need and it may mess up his belly as he isn't used to it he brought this up 2 or 3 times I was confused why he even said it. Then when my MIL called she said the same thing and said when will he be going onto formula so i can have him over night at my house. I WAS FURIOUS. Am I in the wrong I told her he won't be going onto formula unless medically necessary and even if he was I wouldn't be comfortable him staying out until hes abit older. Am I in the wrong????

Early signs of autism

My little girl is 14 months old and I'm worry if she has autism. I understand it's very early for diagnosis though. She has a pretty good eye contact with me and her dad (not very good) but avoids looking at the other people's eyes. If they're away she will keep looking at them once they are close and look at her she gets uncomfortable and a bit scared. She loves reading for her a lot but I've noticed she has some sort of intense interest in some specific animals and airplane and point to them 50x times everyday and we should keep repeating their name until she let go. She's very active and hardly sit on the floor. She has started the nursery and the staff has said she just explores until gets frustrated and then cries.
She can clap hands, wave and point very well. She says a few words but I feel she has gone a bit quiet recently but has a very good understanding of words and follow simple commands if listens and not run away!
Can anyway who has experience share their thoughts please.
