I'm flying to Turkey soon with my then 16 week old. Wondered if anyone had any suggestions about which time to book a flight?
I originally thought it best to fly during the night so he'd be asleep but he's likely to wake up during transfers from car to buggy to carrier to plane and I don't want to mess up with his night sleep, especially as there will be a 2hr time difference (turkey is 2hrs ahead).
Anyone who has flown, do you recommend doing a flight during the day or nighttime?
Currently he has a witching hour around 6pm when he needs his pre-bedtime nap, but otherwise he's fairly good at going down for naps as long as I can breastfeed/rock him to sleep.

I’ve done both with my eldest and personally preferred a day flight because I couldn’t get any sleep on the long haul night flight when holding a sleeping baby as it’s so uncomfortable sat bolt upright! It’s only a short flight though so I wouldn’t overthink it much! They’re so adaptable at that age. Plus the plane is constant white noise so you might find he just sleeps anyway! We’re doing a turkey flight in a few weeks and not too fussed about timing as they’re so young! I’d just go with what works best for you not him as hell just fit in!

Honestly, at 16 weeks I wouldn't worry too much. We flew short haul when my baby was 4 months to UK to Palma and had an early morning flight at 6:15am and she slept the whole way thru while I held her. Will be travelling with her again and her younger sister who will be 19 month and 4 months to Punta Cana and we got the 11am flight. Babies that age under 6 months will sleep anywhere and are so adaptable to change. We went to Oz with my older daughter when she was 8 months and it was no problem, just needed more entertainment. Hope you enjoy your family holiday xxx
