Worried about babies development..

I have contacted our HV a lot and to be honest, they haven’t been that helpful or have made me feel like I’m going mental!
My boy is nearly 10 months old, he does not babble, transition into sitting or standing (I know standing is still early), not crawling or copies.
He has always hated tummy time, he was a late roller as he only rolled belly to back at around 7.5 months.
I thought by now, we would have more babble noises or be wanting to push up on all fours but he just screams and flattens.
He’s never been the happiest baby, I’ve just always felt like there has been something wrong but have never put my finger on it or know what to tell people..
He SCREAMS whenever he is put on the floor but throws himself back to hit his head on us when we hold on, he flaps his arms a lot and just seems miserable, all of the time.
I’m kind of at a loss here, I’m a first time mum and other babies his age just seem a lot happier and are doing a lot more.
I feel like I’m missing out on my first time baby experience as he’s just upset all the time and cannot do anything..
We had our 9 month health visitor appointment the other day and I ticked “not yet” for a lot of the boxes, the health visitor kind of downplayed a lot of this and I felt like I was talked into ticking sometimes for a lot of the things but he doesn’t do them? I don’t know, it’s just making me really upset, I just want my happy boy but I don’t know what else I can do 😢😢

If you feel up for it, I would put in a complaint against hv its her primary job to catch any issues with development / parental concerns and come up with a management plan. And if she's this way with you chances are she is with others also. Not saying anything for sure is wrong with your baby, but needs to be reviewed for what you pointed out. Plus I wouldnt discount mothers intuition

Request a GP appointment or call and ask for another HV evaluation and share your concerns.

Mine hated tummy time. She had reflux. She had a difficult start with an operation and NICU stay, she sat on schedule then just never crawled. Bum shuffled about 14 months, walked at 20 months. I was watching 8 month old babies walking around like wtaf 😂😭😭 there is a big range of normal. It's ok to be behind and some things like talking can come on quickly. Have you tried any baby signing? I found it amazing what our daughter could communicate before she could speak, it helped cheer her up because we could understand her needs better. Tummy time doesn't have to be on the floor, have you tried with a rolled up towel, facing towards you on your chest etc. Mine was also a real grump for the first year or more of her life , basically hated everyone but me, but is absolutely loving, charming, ahead of the curve in communication, loves learning and singing and all sorts. Try not to stress. Find what he likes, get out the house, watch bluey episode baby race, have a good cry and remember you're doing great 😊

Plan B or no?

Please I know I’m a dumb ass so let me just say that. My husband included. I’m 6 weeks post partum, ok to have sex again. My husband and I proceeded to have sex last night for the first time again and he did not pull out. He didn’t mean to because immediately after he realized he messed up. In his defense, we have never pulled out BUT that’s also why we have to kids close in age. However, we are done having kids and I’m going to be tying my tubes. Yes he’s still a jack ass for that and so am I.

Point is man, should I take a plan B or what should I do? :(

Finding out I’m pregnant again 5months postpartum…

So around 5 weeks ago I found out I am pregnant again. My baby is nearly 6 months now and when the second is born she will be around 13/14 months old I’m absolutely terrified as she was a c section baby and I know I’m probably going to have another c section….
She is breast fed also …

Has anyone else out there been through this already having 2 under 2 year olds, how hard is it??

any one got suggestions about stopping breast feeding before birth so second baby can have the boobs exclusively or should I start pumping and just give bottle breast milk to older child and the new born? Just looking for advice and suggestions really…

Baby boys playing with babies

What’s everyone’s opinions on boys playing with baby dolls. My little boy who’s 10 months loves playing with his baby dolls and my dad (baby’s granddad) said he shouldn’t be and he should be playing with “boys toys” I told him it will make him more caring and he will grow up to be the best dad himself. He really disagrees

Navigating politics as a mother

Has anyone really struggled meeting mum friends because of political concerns? I have always been very left wing ( pro palestine , supporting trans/gay rights , anti racism) and even more so after having a baby because I feel like i’m even more passionate to have a kind world for our children . I get a little worried when i meet other mums at baby groups that i’ll find out they’re actually right wing or against a lot of the morals i hold and i wouldn’t be able to keep that around my child . Not sure if it’s normal to feel so strongly about politics around my baby.
But also if it makes me uncomfortable then that’s also an issue i guess ?

4:30am wake up for cereal and tantrums

2 nights in a row now, he’s woken up from
Co sleeping with us (he’s had two weeks of being sick and just wanted to keep an eye on him) he’s woken up at 4:30am screaming like he’s in pain and pointing to our stairs. We found out he’s doing that because he is hungry….. any tips on to avoid this 4am wake up session to eat?

Also tantrums. How are we handling them? He’s only 16 months old and he’s throwing fits like he is 2, with little stompies and backing up, can’t tell if he is in pain but he’s been chomping on his fingers more lately and apparently holding his jaw according to my sister, so I’m thinking he’s teething and that’s causing him to wake and scream constantly.
