I am about 7 weeks pregnant and have been bed ridden for about 2 weeks. Constantly being sick, feel nauseous all day, can’t do much and don’t feel comfortable going anywhere because sickness is unpredictable. Increasingly just becoming so bored and getting fed up of this as someone who is normally very active and would go to the gym etc. Any suggestions to help the nausea and stay sane?

Ring your gp if it’s really bad they can prescribe anti sickness medication. I also take a daily ginger tablet and suck on mints. Coke is good to drink sometimes can help as well. Also having small frequent meals rather than large quantities can help especially cold foods as sometimes hot big meals can trigger nausea. Hope you feel better soon!

My OB said to do unisom / b6 combo! It knocked me out so be careful when you take it lol. Ask your doc about the dosage!

Definitely phone GP or get in contact with midwife’s early to get advice if you need medication to take the sickness down.
Flat lemonade and ginger biscuits in little chunks help me with my nausea but I wasn’t suffering as much as you sound bless you 🫶🏻

Sniff vanilla,ginger chews

I feel your pain! I was in a very similar situation throughout my first tri and the only thing that helped was anti-sickness medication from my GP. There are a couple of different types available and tbh, they aren't perfect as they can make you drowsy but its so much better than the exhaustion from regular sickness! It helped me sleep through the night too 😅 also (I'm sure you've got some) I was buying the giant bottle of liquid gaviscon every 10-14 days. Although it stopped working when the heartburn came back at 15 weeks, now I'm on omeprazole and it's genuinely saved me.
It's absolutely miserable going from active and healthy to bed ridden and vomiting, I really hope it passes soon for you 🩷

There's a website called bumps where you can search medication and find out the current guidance on it! Only found out about it recently but it's lifted so much anxiety and saved time as I'm no longer searching every corner of google
Also I found sipping on flat lemonade helped with the awful taste when being sick. Doesn't prevent the vomit but makes the experience slightly more tolerable 😂
