Am I tripping or has this man lost his mind???

We came home from picking him up from work and I’ve been having this pain in my stomach. I told him I’m in pain I need to lay down. I had planned on making dinner when I felt better but the pain didn’t go away. It’s 9pm, and the kids haven’t eaten. I fell asleep and was expecting him to figure out what we were gonna eat. While I was asleep, the kids completely trashed the place while he was playing the game. Then he comes in the room saying “what are we gonna eat, if you knew you wasn’t cooking you should’ve said that when we got home.” On top of this, he came in the room, saw how there was trash (we have a 1 year old) on the floor, and started kicking the trash to my side of the room saying “this is disgusting. I’m not cleaning this up why is it all on my side.” I had to get up, make our 5 year old a quick chicken quesadilla and some sweet potato fries. He just sat there. Then after I made her food I went back to lay down and he came and tried to physically get me out of the bed saying “you need to shower and you’re in my spot get up and go shower.” Forces me out the bed and says he’ll order something. I told him our daughter needs to get in her bedtime clothes and he needs to do night time duties with her. He didnt say or do anything. So he left it alone and after I finally got her in the bed he sat next to me and said “I don’t like eating late I’m not ordering nothing. I’m getting in the shower.” So now I have to cook for myself or just not eat. Like I don’t understand why he has to be so harsh and manipulative. Am I tripping ?

The communication could have been a bit better, but he still needs to step up & do his part. Could he not hear them making a mess? Did he did notice when the 5 year old brought up how hungry she was to him? And if HE finds the mess “disgusting”, why kick it to YOUR side of the room? He sounds like a child himself. He needs to grow up, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.

Sounds like a "partner" who usually does fuck all and didn't give a shit that you weren't feeling well other than the fact there would be an impact on him. Yes, you could have said that you were feeling unable to make dinner if that's something that you usually do. But he should also know the children need feeding, he could have spoken to you and asked if there was something planned that he could cook, he could have taken the initiative and just made something instead of playing a game. He's showing you who he is. I think you deserve better.

My life with a baby vs my husband’s life

I was thinking today about how different my life is now that I have a baby compared to my husbands life. My husband went to work today and I spent the entire day on my own looking after our 11 week old baby, he has been out this evening at a work dinner and drinks meaning I’ve also been on my own for whole evening. I will be the one getting up throughout the night tonight to do feeds and changes meanwhile he will just sleep through them all or if he does wake he will just roll over and go back to sleep then tomorrow he will go back to work and i’ll do it all again. Does anyone else feel like this? Does anyone else get very frustrated? I am so appreciative that he works full time so I can stay home and I know work comes with its own pressures but sometimes it feels so hard and tiring and draining. I feel like when he offers to look after her so I can do something simple like shower he almost feels like he’s doing such a good thing and being an amazing and supportive husband whereas to me it’s extremely basic and I feel like what I do and the extreme way my life has changed is not fully appreciated…

Nursery advice - another child let out of nursery door unattended at pick up

I've emailed the manager this evening but would appreciate some advice on if this has happened to anyone else, or any nursery workers who can reassure or advise.

A little boy from the same nursery room as my son followed another father and son out of the room and out of the front door at pick-up today.

We noticed him as he came out of the front door and asked the father if he was with him as well and he said no, at which point a member of staff came out and took the little boy back into the room. This nursery worker was in the office and I'm pretty sure only came out because she heard us asking if the boy was with him. She then took him back to the nursery room ahead of us and didn't say another to us - another nursery worker was in the office came out and didn't say anything either.

We are really concerned that he had managed to leave the room and two doors unnoticed and could potentially have left the nursery altogether.

I keep thinking that could have been my son and I feel awful that the parents don't know this could have happened.

I've written to the nursery this evening but would be interested to hear thoughts from others. I've lost complete faith in the nursery but my son is so happy there. This is an unimaginable situation and I don't know how to process it. Is emailing the nursery manager enough? Thanks xxx

Some guidance please 🥲

I’m a first time mom who really doesn’t have a village for support. I live far from family and friends. I stay home with my almost 2 year. The only time I’m ever away from her is when my husband stays with her.

Ive been thinking about finding a babysitter for the sake of our marriage. We need to have some time together without her. I’m just sooo scared to trust someone with my baby.

I came across a college student online who has availability. I’m going to set up a phone call to get the feel of her. How should I go about this? What questions should I ask them?

Thank you!

Feel Like I Can’t Win With Husband

Both of us work full-time jobs, thankfully we both leave for work first thing in the morning and have his parents to watch the baby. By the time I get off work it’s 5, then he goes and cooks while I get baby time since he usually manages to get out early. After that, we eat and watch a tv series, followed by him showering then me later. Then there’s chores and other things I need to get done around the house or just adult-wise in general.

With all that said, he’s been getting upset with me this week that I’m constantly on the go, trying to complete tasks. He wants more intimacy (not even sex necessarily) and it makes me feel like I’m being a shitty wife and mom not pouring as much time directly into him and the baby. But if I stop doing all the chores, it overwhelms me and everything feels chaotic. I don’t know how to win here and it’s kinda breaking my heart…

Marriage

Ladies, would you be comfortable with your husband being around his brother who’s also married but openly cheating on his wife and having a girlfriend? And even being on FaceTime calls with the brother and the girlfriend? I’m never around when he talks to the brother and girlfriend on the phone.

Thoughts

I quit my job to become a SAHM and to support my husband starting a new career. While a few months postpartum he decides to go back to school- never included me in this decision. I later find out I’m pregnant.
Fast forward I continue to express to him how lonely I am and isolated it feels due to all my family being out of state, haven’t talked to friends in months, and him gone 7 days a week between work school and wanting to spend hours at the gym. Fast
Forward to today where I again am crying to him about how this marriage makes me feel extremely alone and he then tells me he’s going to hangout with his brother and play video games. And then he wonders why I’m always upset and snappy. I try to act like I’m fine but I’m really not. I’m exhausted, feeling invisible and unappreciated.
