Test size

Please can anyone give me some advice on teat sizes! My boy is nearly 9 weeks but quite big for his age. I’m using MAM bottles and the teat size 0 is seeming too small now as he is clicking a lot on the bottle. I’ve tried size 1 a few times and it seems too fast as I can hear he’s taking in a lot of air and he’s crying in pain while swallowing. HELP😭

Our little one is 8 weeks and has severe reflux we’ve just gone up to size 1 teats because he was clicking on the size 0 too. We have to pace the feed so he doesn’t gulp, there’s good advice on the NHS on how to do this but if you google paced feeding it’ll give you lots of tips 💙

If baby is dribbling lots of milk out the sides the teat flow is probably too fast, babies can take a week or so to adjust to a new size apparently, and checking the latch is key as well, brushing teat on the top lip then aiming up towards roof of mouth the same way you would if breast feeding.

I’m no expert but these are all things to try and that have helped us even with bad reflux x

I have mam bottles and brought two of teats in the next size up to see what my daughter would make of them and shes great with them so I am moving her up but we just the bigger size for a week alongside the old teats to see the difference and for her to get use to them, she really goes for it on the smaller size like the milk isn't coming out fast enough but the bigger one is so much smoother

From what I remember with my son it takes a good couple of weeks when transitioning teat size. I used to start the feed off with a smaller teat then would swap to a larger one when he started slowing down/getting tired. Was a bit of a faff but helped him get used to it

Struggling with sleep

Does anyone co sleep and find their (Velcro) baby gets up eyes closed multiple times a night for you? I usually pick them up so it doesn’t turn into a full wake but so exhausting. Any been through this? What’s the solution? LO is a toddler now so it is hard.

Most absorbent nappies for overnight

Can anyone recommend a really good absorbent nappy? My little one is 7m old and is a belly sleeper, I’m having to change his pyjamas and bedding every morning as he is totally saturated!

I initially used Asda little angels nappies but switched to pampers baby dry recently to see if they were any better, he is still leaking with those too. I have also tried adding a nappy liner into the front over night for extra protection but he is still wetting through.

Just for reference he is a big boy and in size 6/7 nappies he weighs over 30lb 🐷 I struggle to get nappies to fit around his belly, he has a bigger than average belly as well.

All of the ‘night time nappies’ in the shops are for older babies/ toddlers and are pull ups, but as I said my boy is big.. should I try these??

TIA from my laundry basket lmao xox

Edit: have weighed him and he is 26lb 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

Feeling down and defeated

I’m feeling some what down and think I’ve got postnatal depression. My 5 month old is just refusing to do anything but cry on me, not sleep or eat (he does have a clean nappy), and my partner pretty much treats me like I’m his maid and not his partner. I don’t feel at all happy with my life and I just feel stuck. I know I’m not being the best mother I can be but this has become my daily life now. I don’t know what to do. I really don’t want judgment but I’ve never felt so alone. I feel like the worst parent going.

Transitioning carrycot to seat (pram)

Hello, I am a first time mum and was wondering when mums moved their babies out of the carrycot to the seat? My baby girl loves to look out and be nosey.
